Offering smoother operation and improved accuracy for an outstanding shooting experience, the Swarm Magnum Pro 10X GEN3i includes the patent-pending 10X GEN3i Technology with our revolutionary new horizontal inertia fed magazine integration, making it lighter, more compact and low profile. The magazine indexes using the inertia force from the recoil of the air rifle – creating a smoother and more precise breech-loading process. This is a very impressive pellet rifle. After sighting the rifle in, I was able to shoot dime size groups at 25 and 35 yards. Not bad for a 68 year old grandfather. Truly exceeded all expectations. 10 round magazine is a winner as are the outstanding ergonomics.

Good gun for small game and target shooting. It is a bit difficult to cock the gun.

Let's talk individually about everything you get. I'm very experienced with air rifles over years and this review is being written after 250 shots on this rifle.STOCKMade of a good quality polimer. a middle line from the molding machine is visually very noticeable in all extension of the stock. it's design is somewhat good looking. very ergonomic grip. cheekpiece is not adjustable, aligned at the level of the dovetail rail, which is too high for some shooters (like me), would benefit a lot from a height adjustable cheekpiece. it has a place to put a single screw for a sling hardware next to the hand grip, but no place in the area in front of the stock to put the other sling hardware. the buttplate is made of a hard rubber and I had much better from 3x cheaper rifles in the past. there's a green finishing detail on the buttplate that is just a flimsy large oring that comes off easily with friction between the buttplate and your skin.RIFLEUnquestionable power and precision. Even though I've been shooting cheap pellets (Premier Ultra Magnum 14.3gr), it's been surprisingly precise up to 35 yards. Didn't test longer distances yet but I'm confident that with decent pellets it'll do great at 50 yards and, fingers crossed, 75 and 100 yards. I'll also test heavier pellets on the 23-26 grains range, that will probably increase even more the accuracy and almost eliminate the strong wind effect on lighter pellets even on short distances like 35 yards. I shoot at open ranges (so wind is a big concern) and this rifle is so powerful that asks for a heavier pellet to be on that sweet spot of 700-900fps for precision.Finishing is good providing a smooth mirrored surface. It's the strongest break barrel air rifle currently available in the market, being stronger than most PCP entry level rifles. With >30 grain pellets you can hunt hogs if you can head shot them (shoulder blade shot will never take a hog down immediately, it'll run on the loose and maybe die hours or days later from the injury). All this power comes with a price, though: it's also the heaviest break barrel to be cocked, 41lbs. it really takes a toll on a shooting session. I'm a gym rat for years, on the top 5% strongest individuals in the gym and the top 1% strongest on the general population, and I start to get tired after 30 cockings with each hand, giving me at the most 60 shots a day.Trigger is just average good. travel adjustment is a joke with an inconspicuous 1/8in range. weight adjustment is also a joke if using the original screw, but you can buy a new longer screw and make it so light and sensitive that even a delicate bump on the stock would make it fire (of course, I do not recommend to be adjusted to this extreme).there's no open sight aiming devices available for this rifle, so you're stuck at shooting with a scope or jerry rigging some generic open sight device, which brings the scope subject to my attention:SCOPEit's there only because it has to be sold with some aiming device, so they threw in there the cherry-picked worst scope they found in a backyard in china. some dude at Gamo had the idea of stamping in high relief painted in gold the Gamo emblem on the scope and a low relief Gamo logo. I'd fire this dude for stamping the brand name on the most shameful accessory on this gun. no parallax adjustment (its fixed at 25 yards), the scope won't get a focused sharp image at any distance, the internals will dislocate every 5 or 10 shots taking the aiming out of calibration. This scope makes you miss a 500ml water bottle half of the times at 20 yards. The zooming system is flimsy and broke with the recoil after 100 shots, making the zoom lenses to dislocate backwards inside the tube and now it's just a big blurry image in there, making it a cool office paper weight. it's assembled with a decent integral scope rings mounted over a very nice super long riser adapter with recoil damper system, both with stop pin. the riser kinda "fixes" the cheekpiece problem making the scope higher, but as you put a real decent scope in there (and you'll need it), hardly you'll be capable of using the riser anyways. I'm now using a fantastic UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, 2x heavier than the original Gamo scope (weighted on a scale), that costed 50% the price of the entire rifle, but it's worth every single penny and turned shooting with this rifle finally pleasuring rather than disappointing with the old scope. The new scope is as close as possible to the gun, almost touching the hardware, which brings back the aiming problem of the cheekplate. I could mount the scope on the riser, but for the sake of sturdiness and precision, I prefer to mount it lower, with half amount of components and deal with the uncomfortable cheekplate.PELLET MAGAZINEIt's for sure one of the coolest feature on this rifle. 10 shots in sequence without having to load a pellet individually every single shot, so you can have your pellet can closed somewhere safe where it won't tip over opened the floor. it's also what took the open aiming design off of the rifle (while it could easily be built into the system and removable by screws, available as original accessory or coming with the rifle). the pellet feeding mechanism and magazine are so big that you can see them in 1/3 of the lower field of view of the scope at lower magnifications, nothing that would get in the way of the aiming. anything over 6x magnification will make the feeding mechanism to disappear from the scope. the feeding mechanism raises up to almost the center of the UTG scope with 44mm objective lenses, which brings to the attention that any 40mm or smaller scope mounted close to the barrel without any riser will see only the feeding mechanism, the other reason why probably the original scope came mounted over a riser.the oring that keeps the pellets inside the magazine gets dry after 5-10 full loads and extra hard to push the pellets in with your finger tips or nails, requiring any kind of stick (like the allen wrenches of the scope) to push the pellets in. I'll try to lube the oring with a cotton swab soaked in baby oil to see if it helps though. I bought an extra magazine (Gamo original) and it came defective, don't cycle to a new pellet automatically, had to buy another one (that works fine) and return the defective. have in mind that it is cheap poorly made plastic stuff.CONCLUSION:overall, have in mind that this rifle costs about $300 but will make you spend $430-450 to make it useful as you'll absolutely need a decent scope on it. if $450 is too much for your budget, you should definitely look for something else, because it'll be a questionable $300 decorative item if you don't spend an extra small fortune on a decent scope. at the price point of $450, you have another options in the market and may be tempted to buy something else, maybe even get an entry level PCP, but for sure is not overpriced to have a Gamo Swarm Magnum Pro Gen3i with a UTG 3-12X44 30mm Compact Scope, just a decent option to consider for $450.

The facts: Gun not package securely. Instructions were misleading especially where the scope is concerned. The scope turret dial clearly indicates Left is clockwise yet instructions says the opposite for point of impact, one of several errors in the instructions. The gun is too long to be used effectively in most hunting situations. Its like carrying around a long fishing pole that seems to hit everything. The 10X pellet receiver is a good idea but is plastic as is most of the gun except the barrel. The screws that hold most of the gun, scope, bases, stock etc are STAR headed screws which are good. I found the scope annoyingly hard to get a full circle of view. The built in cheek rest might be to high for some. The accuracy is the MOST disappointing. I tried 4 different styles of GAMO 22cal pellets. the best group was with a T22 pellet which produced a 1 inch group at 20 yards. The rest were 3 to 5 inch groups. At 20 yards you should be able to light matches if you have good shooting skills. Cocking the gun produced a grinding noise that indicates an internal problem and is unacceptable in hunting situations. The noise level when shooting was equal to a Ruger 10/22 rifle. The scope is low grade but did index correctly (just dont follow the instructions) The break over pivot points are metal sleeves not bearings and will wear quickly in my estimation creating accuracy issues. Long distances out to 50 yards were so bad it was a waste of time and pellets. Research shows this gun has had accuracy issues so do the research. Break over guns tend to have accuracy issues after heavy use (cocking). The research shows accuracy is better with off brand pellets like Baracuda Green. For what was touted as a Flagship gun my experience/findings were disappointing.

To begin this rifle is a beast and worth it...once you replace the piece that will probably be broken upon receipt. The first rifle that I received arrived late with box tore up (shipped only in item's box) and one of the "legs" for the magazine retainer was broke off.Called Amazon and second rifle arrived packed in an Amazon box and item's box was undamaged, so I had high hopes that everything on the rifle would be undamaged. This was not the case as the very same piece was damaged and the VERY same "leg" was broke off!I don't believe the damage is Amazon's fault. I think it's Gamo's fault for not better protecting this piece. This rifle comes with a scope that is just placed in the box and is not secured. As a result, it can move freely along the length of the box, and in doing so hit the magazine retainer (repeatedly!).I really wanted this rifle so didn't want to send it back again. So, I decided to give Gamo a call and mention the incident to them. Got right through to a human and explained the situation and she immediately said that she would send out a replacement piece free of charge. Received it a few days later and finally was able to run some pellets through it. As mentioned, it is a beast and packs a punch!! It wasn't too loud-heavier pellets will keep the speed sub sonic and reduce the sound level.Gamo states that the cocking effort is 41 lbs...maybe at some point but not initially!!!!!! Get ready for an arm workout.Overall, I would still highly recommend this air rifle. Just be prepared for possible damage.
