We live in a rural area and have problems with animals getting into our trash. I was looking for a way to secure my trashcan, but only found "bear proof" cans that cost several hundred dollars. I then found these and decided to give them a try. I was so pleased at how well they work, I bought another for our smaller can. Even our neighbor was impressed and purchased one for her can. We have not had animals getting in our trash since!

Not quite for the 95gal bin. It cannot be installed like the ad photo with the bands coming off the four corners of the lid. Once adjusted to fit, the bands are coming off the two sides of the can across the center of the lid, so one can still easily lift the lid from the two front corners.I assume this product would work quite well on the low range of the sizes it advertises for.

I have been battling with raccoons. They’re aggressive, destructive, smart and persistent. Nothing has worked, and I’ve tried so many things to keep them out of my trash. If you want an inexpensive, hassle-free, easy and reliable solution, you’ve come to the right place. What had been a weekly chore (picking up my trash, which had been tossed around by raccoons), has been completely eliminated. So simple. So effective.

This works. Finally.We’ve had lots of trouble with critters. Not sure if they’re dogs or deer or possums or raccoons, but I think all of them.We moved the trash cans. We put rocks on top. We tried putting Vaseline and cayenne. None of it worked.These work.Now, if I could only get the teenagers to reattach them every time they take the trash out.

Makers have cheaped out and switched the plastic clip to a low quality smaller clip than what was used before (I have an older one w/teh bigger, stronger clip that is still working fine). I have had 2 newly purchased clips break within a few months of opening the package. If only the maker had stuck with their original clip! The new, obviously lower cots one is a piece of junk and will not last. The 2 prongs that latch on the the clip break off rendering the whole thing useless). Will not buy a replacement from this maker again. Purchased most recent straps Spring 2023 to give people idea of when the product went to crap.

I bought these because my "neighbors" relentlessly drop their dog poo bags into our cans. The refuse collectors lift out the big bags, the poo bags rot in the bottom. Since murder is a crime, and I have better things to do with my time than babysit a camera.... I went for these. It worked! No more poop bags! The refuse collectors don't mind them, my garbage is emptied. Now, they don't RE-lock them. So I do have to go out on garbage day to simply re-clasp the lock. But the joy I experience at looking into the bottom of a shiny plastic CLEAN can is worth it. I even put them on our recycle cans, because I'm sick of random items being tossed into those. I put these bungee locks on myself, you do not need a "man" to do this. It's easy. Make sure you buy the right size so the bungee stays tight around the top perimeter. My cans are sort of square with an attached lid, and these worked great. I'm so glad I spent the money. No more blood boiling rage when I empty my garbage. Despite the fact that it takes a second to unlock the can before you put your bag in, I'm telling you it is sooooo much better than gross gooey gifts, stench & flies when you lift the lid. I have no regrets. BEST decision!

This product works!! The cans are still knocked over but the kids stay in place. Very easy to use and worth every penny

Good idea for the device, but the elastic is too loose. Racoons manage to pull the lid loose enough to still get inside our garbage. Maybe a design with more elastics across the top would solve this problem. But as-is, it didn't work for us.

We Live in the North Coast of British Columbia and we always had problems with the ravens getting into the garbage and spreading it all over the neighbourhood. Problem solved with these ingenious straps. The sanitation guys also expressed how much they love them, easy for them to unbuckle and looks way better than a big brick or rock on the lid the ravens can't move.
