I replaced my old passenger side door switch on my 2005 corvette because it wouldn't always open first try.Functionality: this handle opens first try every time and have not had any problem. I have had it about 3 weeks without any hiccups.Looks: it looks the basically the same as my OEM one(left). The new one feels slightly more rubberized on the finger pad, but that may be because my old one was 13 years old.Fitment: fit fine, I had no issue installing it. There are only 2 screws holding them in, and it took less than 5 minutes. The clip went in snug.

After refurbishing my original door release button a couple of times over the course of a few years, one of the contacts inside the switch began to separate from the rubber base, causing it to 'rattle' inside of the housing and make partial connections when the door was closed. This was never enough to reopen the door, but was enough to make a noticeable clicking sound from behind the dash. It took a long time for me to figure out that the noise was caused by the door latch switch, but once I did, the fix was quick, cheap, and permanent. I am very satisfied with this genuine GM replacement part, the price is great and I will likely replace the passenger switch in the near future.
