These chubby utenils are super cute! They are sized right for the little hands, and the spoons are functional: the child could scoop some baby food with them and self feed. The guards prevent them from going too deep in the mouth, so no gagging. The "chewtensils" are made out of silicone and are very easy to clean and sanitize, they could also be used for chewing/teething.

I got these for a baby that is developmentally delayed (foster). I liked the idea of them, although I don't have experience with anything like this. He was premature, so at a year, he is just now crawling pretty good. His fine motor skills are definitely behind. He can grasps these spoons however, which is great. Of course he hasn't figured out what to do with them yet, but I'm sure he will soon. I love the idea of the silicone that makes them softer then trying this with a metal or plastic spoon.

These are sturdy with a bit of flexibility, but not too much. They're a great size for self feeding or baby led weaning. There are various textures on the handle and even on the underside of the spoon. Generally this is a good thing, but if you end up with baby rejecting them, they may be sensitive to this feeling.

The Ginbear Platinum Silicone Baby Spoons are a solid choice for early self-feeding. The soft, flexible silicone is gentle on gums, and the size is perfect for little hands learning to grip. They’re also easy to clean and don’t stain, even with messy foods. That said, they’re a bit on the shorter side, which can make it tricky for parents to help scoop food. Overall, a great option for BLW, but some might prefer a slightly longer handle for versatility.

Nice spoons/teethers. Perfect size for little hands. Pack of four keeps you prepared when one (or two) hit the floor.

These spoons work as they should. They are easy for baby to grab and bring to their mouth since the handle is so short. The spoons are easy to wash (We hand wash so they don't end up tasting like soap) and fit nicely in baby's mouth. What I love is this comes in a set of 4 so it is great for baby lead weaning because as they hold one (or two) spoons you still have a couple you can scoop for them as they chow down before they are ready for the next pre-loaded spoon.

These are nice and chunky for baby to grasp, but tough for adults to help with since the handle is so short. The bottom of the handle is flat so the spoons can be stood up, but it’s very tippy. It should be a bit wider. They clean up nicely in my countertop dishwasher.
