Don't be fooled by cheap price..you get what you pay for .....horrible cheap unusable crap!Came in one giant solid mass..I let them "unfold" for a week..nothing..still a solid lump. Don't bother just order something different.

The item comes vacuum packed (to save space on storage or delivery) and as noted on website, to get them to expand, place in water. I have had one in a bucket now for almost 36 hours and is about 75%. Luckily not in a rush or need to use right away. If you order make sure you allow plenty time before you need to use.

Be aware that these sponges are "super shrink wrapped" to about 10% of their actual size. They will have to be soaked several hours in warm water before the individual sponges can be separated. Even after 24 hours soaking, two of the sponges are not expanded. Once they expand, the rough side of the sponge is very, very rough and the smooth side is rough too. Only good for initial coats, not final sanding. The sponge is also hard to squeeze due to the rough side no compressing. This leaves it too wet which causes the sheetrock to turn into mush and cause dripping. I'll keep the sponges for cleaning, but they are not useful for sheetrock use. Back to using my $2 sponge from the Dollar Store for that purpose.

Got these for my husband who is in the midst of a bunch of home improvements, including drywall installation and repair. He was not at all impressed with these and deemed them best for cleaning. Mediocre absorbency of liquids. The "sanding" side isn't a block and nowhere near the strength of even the thinnest sanding paper. The concept was promising, the product is disappointing.
