UPDATE: after my third time using this in a few weeks: I'VE NOTICED A TREMENDOUS LOSS IN POWER OUTPUT.Does exactly what it says. I haven't noticed want power drop bit that's not a big deal. The idea was to get the base on the floor to lighten my load on my C stand.WORKS PERFECTLY (NOT SO PERFECT)

I have an AD400 and I typically shoot on location, and I typically use a large soft box. I’ve had two occasions where a gust of wind has sent it to the ground. Yes I use sandbags. I’ve been lucky that the light has survived both of the falls. I now super clamp my light to the lower part of the stand and us the extension. If I trash the extension, as bad as it would be, my light itself will be intact.

Love this item. Allows me to put the ad400pro on a stand with a super clamp for added weight to the stand and this lightweight head extension on top with a light modifier. Keeps my ad400pro safe from tumbles on top of the stand

I've been using the Godox AD400 pro with a C-Stan. I just wanted to shift the weight away from the top. It works well . Is built well. Holds bowen mount softboxes. Be sure to buy a bag for the flash body.
