I film YouTube videos with my iPhone and this was exactly the SSD enclosure I needed. I need you to be able to plug this into my iPhone and also plug it into power and my micro receiver. This is the only SSD enclosure I found that has three ports built-in. It works perfectly and being able to magnetically attach the back of my phone is an added benefit. The one con I have found about this enclosure is that it gets hot pretty quickly and there isn't really a way to ventilate it. This makes it pretty durable, but especially in the warmer months I'm worried that it's going to overheat and the performance will be degraded.

Well built and seems to dissipate heat appropriately. Only used with iPhone however, to backup pictures.

Es perfecta para poder grabar en formato Log con el iPhone, he llegado a grabar 20 minutos seguidos (casi 200GB en Log) sin que apenas se caliente. Incluye dos cables, puedes conectar una batería externa y así mientras grabas se carga el iPhone también. Importante! Puedes conectar tanto unos micrófonos externos USBC como cualquier otro dispositivo USBC (por ejemplo un ventilador USBC por si vives en un lugar muy caluroso y se calienta en exceso) y si ves que el iPhone te muestra un mensaje de que el dispositivo consume mucha energía la solución es conectar la batería externa para que suministre más potencia! Con eso se soluciona. Ojo el disco que le pongas ha de estar formateado en exFAT si vas a grabar con la app nativa Fotos, otras apps de terceros te permiten el formato APFS, tenlo en cuenta.

This HD housing fits my iPhone 14 well. I was able to install a HD very easily and using the supplied heat sync.The metal material is high quality and has a bit of weight to it. The magnetic side is strong and sticks to your MagSafe phone with quite a bit of grip strength!The USB cords that come with the housing are high quality and work as intended. I’ve had no connectivity issues what so ever.

I bought a similar product from another brand before, but it was too big that it rides on the ridge of my camera bump (i have a 16 pro) it won't be an issue for pro max, but here we areThe magnet is strong but not stubborn, even keeping it on the phone all day will fatigue my arm too fast.The power pass thru is also good so I can access/transfer files while charge, although doing both will make them hotThe bent cable is another good tough, keeping the overall footprint small and compactThe top of the enclosure is still magsafe compatible, meaning any popsocket or stand will still work, adding another layer of confidence while using it on the go

This is a well built and made iPhone accessory. I added a 2230 SSD and got about 900mbs read/write.It came with two cords and it fits perfectly with my iPhone. Just remember to reformat your ssd to be able to read on an iPhone too. APFS for files and Exfat for high end iPhone video recording or Exfat for a Android.There is an accessory you can buy to cool it but so far it's been cool after usage. I love that it has a magnet on the front and back so that you can still add your magsafe accessories too. A USB c power pass through is a nice touch also.***Update***I upgraded to the Pro version that has three USB c outlets, this is for the USB c fan that they make, so that it can get powered along with the SSD. Works perfectly!

I love the way it just sits on the back of the phone even if ur not using it disconnect it and it just there doesn’t take up much space even in the pocket

Could not get this device to register with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, my Mac Studio, or a Windows PC. Tried two different NVME SSDs (a Western Digital and a Corsair) with no luck. Returning it for a refund.Installation of the SSD is not too bad but the screws are very small. Do the installation over a large table in case you drop one. I had a towel down to reduce the bounce should one have fallen. A screwdriver is included for the cover screws and another one is included for the retaining screw to hold SSD down.Really wanted this work for my BTS videos. Guess I will go back to my Samsung T7. Not as small but it works.

Should be part of any iPhone cinematographer's kit. Firmly attaches to the back of any MagSafe iPhone. Comes with two different USB-C cables, one for the 15/16 Pro and one for the Max. I'm using it with an iPhone 15 Pro. The back of the case also is magnetic so you can stack additional devices, or in my case I'm using it with a DJI Osmo 6 and Aerbeis magnetic/MagSafe clamp adapter. Keeping the extra weight in the center of the phone allows the gimbal to keep balanced easily. Adding on an external power source and USB-C peripheral is easy and in line with the center of gravity. Always test and be careful when adding weight and using a gimbal.Throughput is fast enough to handle ProRes Raw easily. I haven't used it enough to comment on heating, just using it for short tests right now. If it does start to overheat I have a MagSafe fan that could be stacked on as well (and powered from the second USB port), albeit without using the gimbal.

Pretty neat product for extra storage for my iPhone. The magnet is really strong. Transfer speed is good as well.

MC100 Pro - This enclosure was so aesthetically pleasing to me the first time I laid eyes on it, I just had to have it. Especially with the separately purchased heat sink lid, the "upgraded" lid that comes on it is pretty cool looking in my opinion, but that heat sink just puts it over the edge! The heat sink is somewhat functional, although it isn't as effective as I had hoped it might... While I was doing one of my initial transfers after installing the SSD, it did throttle, I can only imagine it was due to high temps. But I will rarely be transferring such large volumes, so I don't imagine I will experience much throttling in the future. The "Super Capacitor" does seem to keep the drive on for a few seconds after its unplugged if it's not ejected correctly. I absolutely love that it come with 2 magnetic rings that you can stick on anything smooth enough, I use a pixel phone, and because it doesn't have an expandable micro-SD slot, this is an even better storage solution, considering I transferred 150gb in about 5 minutes... :0

Purchased this to record videos on holiday, works perfect with Crucial 600 mini, with the power pass through you don’t need to worry about loosing battery power, just Cary a small power pack and you are set. Great design and much cheaper than 1tb iPhone.
