I got this shelf for my new hamsters cage. Shelfs are needed to keep things from falling on your hamster when burrowing. This one was a good choice because it allowed it to sit on top of 6in of bedding without it sinking down! Good price too.

The top of this is not wood, it's plastic printed with a grain grain. It's very slippery for our Syrian Hamster.

Its a coated wood which makes cleaning worlds easier! The legs are pretty short so its not huge but its a good suzed raised platform. Very easy to assemble

I was surprised by the quality, considering the price. Beautifully made, sturdy little shelf. I am using it to support the dig box in my hamster tank. It would be perfect as a wheel shelf as well. Highly recommended.
