d. The minimum installation temperature of the heating cable is - 4 º F.

Just installed it this past weekend it warms up nicely it is kinda stiff to work with but I would plug it in every few minutes and let it warm up then wrapping it around the pipes is a lot easier to do works well

We live in Ohio and are first time duck owners so we purchased this to put in our outdoor house to help with freezing. It worked great at first but about a month later, I went out and turned the water on, picked the house up & it started sparking and then caught fire. Be very careful, unsure if this was a fluke or a flaw. It also made the house very stiff and difficult to operate.

This is a great option for heating an existing hose. And cheaper to buy a new hose and this heat tape, rather than buying a combination hose and heat tape.

I spent about 9 hours this summer climbing on my roofs and installing this in my gutters (back of house only). It’s quite a bit of work, but the cable does heat up and get pretty warm and does melt the snow and ice but when it’s really cold out it isn’t very effective. Just not hot enough for temps below 20 F. I unplug it until the temps get about 20. No ice dams so far this year but we haven’t had much snow at all either so…..well see

This was purchased to keep the water pipes from freezing underneath a mobile home. Easy to install and as long as it is plugged in hopefully it works. There have been a couple of 20 degree nites and no burst pipes so far.
