It’s more than just a mountain plate. It has a receiver for the towel Rack, couldn’t have done it any other way. However, wasn’t the easiest thing to install.

Although this appeared high quality, these are not universal. I presume it will only fit this brand towel warmer. I had to fabricate my own using a blank wall plate.

First, I was shocked that the plate doesn’t come with matching-colored screws.Then I was surprised that it didn’t fit onto the heated towel rack that Amazon said worked with it.After all that, I wasn’t exactly stunned when the company’s customer service line just told me to leave a message, then didn’t call back.

This plate is needed for the hard wired installation. The information on the towel rack is not very clear about this and does not mention that it isn’t included in the purchase of the rack. This should be included in every towel rack purchase. If you don’t realize that you need it and have to order at a later date, it could significantly impact your installation.

When this “brushed” wall plate arrived, it was a grungy, scratched white color. I assumed there had been a mistake, returning it to Amazon and ordering a replacement directly from Heatgene. The replacement arrived promptly, but when I opened it I was very surprised that it looked the same; grungy white and scratched. After puzzling over this coincidence, I finally realized that the white color was a protective coating covering the metal. There’s no obvious way to peel off the coating, so you have to work on it. But what finally emerges is a gleaming, brushed wall plate! A written explanation would have helped greatly, and prevented an unnecessary return.
