These gardening shears are nice and sharp. They are spring-loaded and easy to squeeze. I like the comfort grips on them. They come with a nice plastic cove/holster that can clip onto your waistband or gardening cart.

These Heavy-Duty Handheld Garden Shears have quickly become my go-to tool for tackling a variety of pruning tasks in my garden. Right out of the box, I was impressed by the solid construction and hefty feel. They definitely feel well-built and durable, like they can handle some serious work.The ergonomic handles are a standout feature. Even when clipping thicker branches, which these shears handle with ease, my hands don't feel strained. The design really does make a difference in comfort and control. The blades are incredibly sharp, slicing through branches cleanly and efficiently. This sharpness is a huge plus, but it also demands respect and caution when using them. Definitely something to keep in mind for safety.I especially appreciate the included plastic holster. It's a simple addition, but it's incredibly useful. Being able to clip the pruner to my belt and move around the garden freely without worrying about where to put it is a game-changer.These shears look remarkably similar to a pair of heavy-duty pruners I purchased at Costco a while back, which have been my reliable workhorses. So far, in my initial tests, these shears perform just as well, if not better, than my old faithfuls. It's fantastic to now have a second pair of such capable pruners. I can keep my old ones as spares, ensuring I always have a sharp and reliable tool on hand.The only reason I'm not giving them a full 5 stars is that I haven't had them long enough to truly assess their long-term durability. Was impressed with the cutting power of these hand sears. They're able to cut effortlessly through very large thick stems. Easy to handle and hold with automatic spring action to automatic open blades for the next cut. Has a lock to hold the blades closed for storage. Did not exhaust my hand & made it easy to tackle a big job. Seems heavy duty.My only complaint is with the case. It arrived completely broken on both sides as it's only made out of cheap flimsy thin plastic. It's supposed to hold the shears and clip onto your belt, tool pouch or waistband to hold your shears when not using them. I'm not able to test out the holder/case since it's completely shattered.One would think that with the high quality of the shears themselves they would have put the same quality into the case. That's definitely not what they did here.Overall, the tool itself is amazing and I will get a lot of use out of it. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars was because of the case/holder.

I ordered these as a backup hand-pruner for when my Felcos are away being sharpened. My mistake as these are very good pruners that don't need to be a backup to any other shears. I am impressed with the clean cuts these made when cutting back the last of erratic shrub growth before winter sets in. They cut small crepe myrtle limbs up to 1" in diameter with little effort. The blades seemed sturdy and the movement between them was smooth. In other words, the blades did not rub together or stick. (My fault that they got a little sticky because I also used them to cut down the last of the elephant ear plants and the stems were still "juicy". Easily cleaned.)The shears arrived with oil already on the blades and the oil was/is all over inside the carrying case which is why I deducted 1 star. That oil, while good for the blades, leaked all over inside the box and was a little messy. Doesn't take away from the quality of the shears and I recommend the pruners.
