This dash bezel fits perfectly in my 2004 dodge ram 1500. My double din radio fits in great.

4 stars because of lack of instructions and a few screws, on these year model dodges the factory version of this is like a cover except it’s plastic welded/melted at 6 specific points, the easiest solution is to back drill the melt points and pop the factory center cover off, this new one doesn’t tell you what size drill bit nor to try and keep dead center, the new faceplate will have MUCH longer standoffs that slip through the factory melt points, personally I would’ve liked to see them shorter and screws to hold it to the dash surround, my surround was broken in 2 places so had to figure out how to glue the subframe back together, drill and insert this, anybody that’s ever worked on these year dodges know that plastic is brittle, so 4hrs later I got the factory face off, subframe that this attaches to pieces back together then drilled for this one’s alignment pins, my subframe was a little shaky still so I took this plate back off coated everything under it with 100% silicone clear rtv then pushed this top faceplate back on, then “glued” with silicone a little more……..also this was going into an 02 1500 the double din radio wouldn’t fit because of 2 lift tabs the old single din sat on, a few little mods inside the dash frame with a sawzall and it slid home…..other than this it was a fairly easy straight forward install…..hope this helps someone

The product is a very easily scratched material that can be cracked by just a fingernail. The radio mounts were not different it was two for only one side. The price has no mounting hardware to the rest of the dash and no way to mount to the dash other than to mount permanently by melting it in like the original or making your own mounting solution.

Little confused on how to install it until I realized you attach the double din to the face plate and not the dash. But after it was all together it looks good and works for the price.

Fits great. Minor fabrication required for install. You must drill out the factory belzel mount points. My radio required additional clearance on the truck side. Radio secures to this bezel, not the truck side of dash. The only hardware included is 4 screws to secure the brackets to bezel. Would buy again

I had to remove the thin bezel around the head unit to allow this to fit, but that's why head units include the removable bezel -- it's part of the design to fit different installation methods. To attach this to the OEM dash I drilled out the melted plastic fasteners and popped off the old center piece. This piece has long plastic studs that align perfectly with the OEM dash. I pushed this new center piece onto the old dash and then using a heat gun I heated up the plastic studs and pushed them over with a flathead screw driver. If you do this properly and keep the two dash pieces tight, it works great. But you have to methodical and careful to get it just right to avoid any looseness once the heated plastic cools. You don't want there to be any sense of play in the two dash pieces.I did have to use a saw to cut out the lower radio bracket inside the truck side of the dash (not part of this piece -- again I did not cut or otherwise modify this specific dash kit) to allow the new head unit enough clearance to fit back into the dash. Remember the OEM Dodge radio is not a double din height, so that's why you need to do this extra plastic cut.
