Why did I "need" these? Technically most of us don't, we're all likely to have both a drill and a bit driver. However, that's the point. If I'm driving fasteners in the shed hanging tools up, I'm using the bit driver. But maybe I want to create a pilot hole first. I can bring both tools out, or I can throw this in my pocket and swap them out quickly. Or maybe I may need to drill a small hole in something. A drill is large and bulky, but there are all sorts of cordless screwdrivers that are smaller and lighter, so by using this, you can have more control and precision. There are four in here, two large and two small with the same specs. The black and silver look different, but they're the same. They tighten and loosen smoothly and work as expected. And you get four of them for a very reasonable price. I think this is worth getting and keeping on hand.

These are decent but have a few flaws. I got them thinking it would be a great solution to flipping drill bits back and forth on my impact driver, which it's decent for, but1) The chucks are definitely limited on what bit they can handle, there are two sizes that handle 1/8 - 3/162) The chucks to be a add a little more flex than just the bit which means the smaller bits will probably be more likely to snap on you especially if you're using this in an impact driver.3) The chucks don't have a limiter on them, so when you're backing them out you can pretty much completely disassemble the unit on accident. So in my opinion, these are for someone who:1) Is wanting to use their impact driver as a drill and doesn't have a drill2) Someone constantly switching between drill bitsBut if you're going to use one bit for an extended amount of time, or need a cleaner drilled hole, I would stick to using the drill over using these chucks.
