Great Bike! I purchased a Heybike Mars 2.5 years ago for my 19 year old God-daughter who used it as her primary transportation to and from school and work. Money well spent! I just purchased another Mars for me as I travel the country. It folds and fits perfectly in the backseat of my F-250 crew cab. Heads up... Even though I'm 6'3", 234lbs, this bike requires strength and focus. It's not a toy by any means. It can tip on you real quick... I love it..

The bike is very sturdy and has a lot of power. It was not as easy as expected to assemble and it is heavier than expected, but overall very good quality. The customer support team was very helpful and quickly addressed any questions and issues.

My husband bought us the Mars bikes for Christmas and for my birthday road trip to state parks starting on the Dec 26. His black bike was fine but my white bike didn’t have the correct seat post. Needless to say we couldn’t use them for our special planned trip. Had difficulty contacting the manufacturer. Was told replacement post would not be available for them to send until at least 2 months but that we could purchase our own part from Amazon and they would refund. The replacement part wasn’t an exact match either and my husband had to heat and bend the metal seat lever to make it work but then had to repaint the part because heating the metal damages the paint. Just received notice that my Amazon account is being credited for the replacement part costs. We were able to take the bikes for a short ride and they seem to work fine. Didn’t get above 10 mph and my brakes needed to be adjusted. Learning to work the manual pedals and speed settings without the chain slipping. I will need to read up on the operation of ebikes to work out the correct way. Was able to foldup both bikes and fit into the back of my Honda pilot with the help of my husband but not sure if I could do it by myself without difficulty. I will probably purchase a bike rack instead. Overall I believe I’m going to enjoy the bike because the pedal assist worked wonderfully on mountain paths.

First off we bought our bikes, this is an honest review not one written after receiving free or discounted products. Waited a couple weeks of use to review, we ride our Heybikes daily for a leisure ride. I chose the Mars for its more rugged look compared to the wife's Cityscape. We stick to paved trails and some dirt trails in a local national park. I have only charged the battery once after 40 miles logged, I still had two bars on the battery life showing. Pedal assist works great, you can ride forever it seems without working up a sweat. I have changed from the factory three levels to five in 25 % increments 0-5; seems to work good. My wife was not a bike rider , now with these, she wants to go out and ride 1-2times a day.The bike easily does 20+ mph and feels very secure for being a folding bike which surprised me. I wanted to try the folding feature, so yesterday in my 5ft short bed Colorado I did and it was easy to fold, lift into the bed and remove and unfold again. Riding the Mars is very comfortable, I only inflated to 10 -12 psi in the fat tires and all seems great, no big bumps when going over the road curbs and speed bumps.Seat is cushioned and works well with the added springs, but perhaps a larger seat is a future purchase ? Added items include a rearview side mirror, moving the brake and display to accommodate was not an issue, plenty of cable movement available. Picking a rear storage bag is going to be tough as the rack is a little wider than average, around 7" be mindful of that. Why the older version of the Mars, it was cheaper than the Mars 2.0, we are not rich and it was a still a brand new bike with full warranty. It is better, I do not know ? The Mars meets all my needs and probably can do things I may never test it for, all I know is this is a great bike for the $1 K it cost me. I was using my dad's $ 2.5 K ebike before deciding on which one I wanted, his may be a little faster but they like alike and have the same features. My Diamondback Motown traditional mountain bike will be collecting dust now. If all you want is a quality bike to leisurely ride around this is your bike, it may be capable of even do so much more that I have not tried yet. One month since purchase we use bikes 2X / day; hope this helps others on the fence about this or other "Heybike" bikes.

This is a very solid e-bike, and lots of good performance for a great price! The control panel is not bad, but not obvious. The manual is not very helpful, since it doesn't match the actual control panel! I had to dig through a few YouTube videos to find accurate information (and some is just wrong... support responded to me and asked me to do all sorts of work, posting all over the place to give them information to correct their own manual). I still have no idea how to clear the trip odometer. The common controls, though, are up and down pedal assist levels, and that's easy!I suggest you reprogram the pedal assist level 0-3 to 0-5 (I set mine to 0%, 25%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%). 2 is great around pedestrians, 4 is great on the road, and 5 when you really want to GET THERE FAST. I live where there are a ton of hills, and this handles all of them no problem. The motor does the job fine! This bike is built for medium or tall people, it looks small but it can handle riders from about 5'5" to over 6" easily.Brakes are fine, they're disc brakes but cable brakes instead of hydraulic which is I suppose expected for this price range. There's a *super solid* rack on it but the frame does not have many spots to attach locks, bags, water bottles, etc. You'll want a rack bag or pannier or something.Putting it together takes a little while (1h or a bit more), despite what some reviews claim... be prepared to do some work, and take your time, you only have to do it once. Note it's also quite heavy, you won't be hauling it up and down stairs.Don't let my complaints lessen the fact that this is an incredible bike. It's great!! Easy to ride, super comfortable, and good power. Incredible value.

Received the e-bike and all parts were there and assembly was straight forward however the seat pole doesn’t fit down into the frame and now waiting for hey bike to reply for a solution for this issue. I will update once they contact me for this problem.UPDATE:The customer service team was easy and quick to resolve my seat post issue and I have received my new seat post. It was a perfect fit and after test riding this e-bike, the performance and value was above my expectations. With great value and great customer support, I’m going to purchase another one for my wife. We will be looking forward to some awesome rides in the spring

I absolutely love this e-bike. I did a lot of research before I bought it and glad I found the Heybike. So easy to peddle without the power on, a complaint I’ve heard about other bikes being too hard to pedal. Love it that it has 7 speeds. I’ve put it through it’s paces and it really can move. The battery holds its charge great! Folding is easy to do but it could use some sort of clip to keep it together. The assembling instructions are straight forward. It does take awhile to get together but well worth the time. It’s heavier then most fold up bikes but I like how solid it is and the front shocks really help when going over bumps. The bike arrived with a screw broken inside the fold up pedal. I contacted Heybike and they arranged for me to receive a new set to replace it. Excellent customer service! I am trying to get my husband to buy a Heybike too.I’ve had a lot of compliments and people slowing down to look at it.

This product as well as Heybike Support make this an unbelievable E-Bike to buy in this price range. It's a very nice riding bike with front suspension and a spring loaded holding tube for the seat. The nice 20" by 4" tires give you the security you want to feel like so you can ride anywhere.Excellent system to remove the battery as well as a usb port to charge your phone while your resting. Here are some of the Pro's:1: 8 different mode settings (Default 0-3). Can also set 1-3, 0-5, 1-5, 0-7, 1-7, 0-9, 1-9.Sounds like gibberish but you'll understand once you get one of these2: Each of the settings you can adjust the power. Ex Mode 1=30%, 2=75%, 3=99%Why this is great. My wife and i both have E=Bikes and she has modes 0-3. I set mine to 1-5 so that my1 goes 6 mph, my 2=her 1, my 3=her 2, my 4 is 4% faster than her 3 (so I can take breaks peddling) andmy 5=her 3. So you can adjust your power for each mode so that you can peddle side by side withfriends.3. 500 watt motor with 48V 12.5AH motor. Power plus good lasting battery4. Fold-able bike (yes it is 65lbs so a bit heavy but still doable)5. Solid Frame and great front suspension6. Fat tires (boy do I love them)7. Easy to use throttle8. Gear shifter that works like it's supposed. Marked 1-7 and unlike in the old days it means what it says.9. Heybike Support. I wanted to make a slight change and I reached out to them. Not only to they respond right away, but they sent me a video to show me how to make the change. They also sent me a part from China which i got in about 6 days, so I rode my bike until the part came (no big deal). Also they sent it Fedex, and from China you know that wasn't cheap. Imagine a company that has a support group will to do this so that the bike is everything you want it to be.Cons:Heavy bike. So be sure if you going to fold it and place it in your car, remove the battery first. This will make it easier to handle. Even though I wrote this as a con. If you want a solid frame like this without spending $3000 to $4000 for a bike then this is the only draw back. For me it's not a con because I can mange the weight with no problem and I am 65 years old.One last comment. I wasn't given this bike to review or paid in anyway. I just believe that when a company makes a good product at great price for what it is, I always feel I should write a review. Especially with everything that the Heybike Support Group did to help me make this exactly what I want.
