For the low-priced investment, this hi-hat stand is pretty much what one should expect and is worth the low price. It is totally serviceable and of adequate construction for the beginning student, novice drummer, or for casual use in the home studio for percussionists. Do NOT purchase this stand if you are a 'heavy hitter' or intend to use this for routine gigging/road performance; it wouldn't hold up well for that. It was the perfect investment for my occasional home studio percussion needs. (Of course, your choice of cymbals will dictate how well this unit sounds! Invest more in those!)

As a drummer, I would say look elsewhere. It's far better to buy name brand used hardware.Everything about this hi hat stand screams cheap. Yes I understand the price is inexpensive but it's not even usable as hardware. The pedal is very stiff and the foot pad is very sharp. You could cut up your feet if you play barefoot or with socks. Everything part wobbles and does not feel sturdy at all.Definitely had to return this. I will try to find used name brand hardware because even the entry level hardware has far superior quality.

I’m over all happy with this high hat stand because it absolutely does the job and is pretty stout. The only issue I have is that I wish it was easier to pack up. Packing up is a bit difficult because that pedal is attached all permanent like and flops around awkwardly unless it’s tied down somehow. Yeah, maybe that’s just life for hauling and stowing drum kit, but I can always hope.OK, enough negativity. This is a nice piece of kit at a great price. Does it’s job. No drama. There are better ones for a lot more money. Whatever.

My rating of this product is heavily influenced by the price. That $50 price tag is pretty rare for a hi-hat stand that a drummer can actually use. This stand features double-braced legs and thick rubber feel. The stand is sturdy enough although all hi-hat stands will move around a bit as you use them. The action is smooth and the strength of the spring is sufficient to do the job.If you're in a jam and need a hi-hat stand to use until you can afford a better one, you should check out this YEASOUL hi-hat stand. To me, it's just as good as Gibralter's low-end units that cost double the price of the YEASOUL. I'm definitely not saying that this is the last hi-hat stand that you'll ever have to buy. However, it's a good place to start for beginners. Also, it's great for the established drummer on a budget who needs a quick replacement hi-hat stand but doesn't have a lot of money.

Once I purchased a pair of hi hat cymbals, this YEASOUL Hi Hat Stand was perfect for me. As a beginner, I didn't want to get too elaborate with a full drum kit, so piecing together a kit slowly was in my wheelhouse. This hi hat stand was sturdy, and worked perfectly.
