I like the dimensions of this shield in that it’s a complete face shield. I also have a long beard and this keeps grass debris out when weeding, wood chip/saw dust when using power tools for wood, and sparks when grinding metal or sharpening tools.

I bought this when I was on Spring break from Welding school little did I know I wouldn’t be returning to school the following week due to the virus. I was finally able to go back to school to get some use out of this. It is made well.

Nice adjustable size. Unfortunately the plastic of the mask is cheap plastic and so not super clear to look through. I keep picking at what I think is a residual film but to no avail. So good full-face protection but kind of frustrating when you’re looking at details on your projects.

Was ready to flame this product when I took it out of the box and put it on. The 'clear' shield was so distorted that it was like putting a pair of someone else's prescription glasses on. I then decided to pull the tag off and realized there was protective plastic wrap covering the shield. Duh. Sometimes ya gotta be a little smarter than the equipment. Works well to keep the hay chaff out of my eyes and face when loading the feeders.

Terrible product. I wore it twice and the second time it completely fell apart beyond repair. The cheap plastic screws on the side easily lost their thread and it was completely downhill from there. If only someone could have been filming as the shop freak out ensued. There working on my first bowl on the lathe... Lift the shield to check my work... Put it back down... Then it awkwardly slides down on your head like suddenty you are wearing your dad's helmet... Try to tighten it back... Plastic clips fall off. Basically it wasn't long after I summized the impossibility of putting it back together that I threw it across the shop. Then I had to risk my face by only wearing protective glasses. Some may say I should have waited to buy another face shield- but if they had a lathe they would understand why one cannot wait on a replacement.

fast delivery, I work in commercial industry where safety is always a concern. This is just what I was looking for, knob handle to easily adjust head band diameter and knob to adjust the tension for flipping face shield up or down, also shield easily replaced when scratched or a different shade/tint required for different jobs that can be bought. The shield is clear and distort free. Just like the other reviewer stated there is a plastic film on both sides of the shield that needs to be peeled off before use. For extra safety and good practice I wear safety glasses In addition to the face shield. SAFETY FIRST!

I purchased mine and use it with a small home duty chipper shreader. When it arrived, the face shield was all scratched up, just thrown in the box with the rest of the order and left to fend for itself. I was about to return it when I remembered another review that said the shield was coated with two plastic covers to protect the shield from such damage. I removed the shield, noting it's orentation,I picked for a few seconds on one of the corners and sure enough a thin layer of plastic came off, a little stuborn at first, but it came off. I turned the shield over and did the same procedure to the back. The result was a pristine shield, clear with no scratches. After remounting it to the head gear and adjusting for head size and visor tension, it works like a charm. For the price, A GREAT SAFETY DEVICE. I understand that you can even get replacement visors to extend the usefulness of the purchance.If you are in a dusty environment, I recommend getting some canned air to clean the visor or wash it off with warm water and some MILD cleaner like Windex and use a large (about 10 x 10) microfiber towel to blot the thing dry. I got my towel at a lical eyeglasses dealer. They usually don't stock them, so, you may have to order it. Rubbing off dust would be like using sandpaper on it. If the dust is bad enough, invest in a pair of goggles and dust mask designed for the work you are doing as this is a shield to protect you from flying bits not dust to any degree and chemicals only on a limited basis would be my guesstimate.

This is a fantastic face shield. However, it does not present itself well when you get it. What you need to know is that the face shield has 2 layers of plastic film on it, one on one side, and one on the other. These are there to protect the plastic surface from getting scratched during manufacturing, etc. The film on one side is light green, the film on the other side is colorless. Both need to be removed in order for the terrific clarity of the shield to be revealed. When you get the shield, it is not obvious that the 2 films are there. You need to scratch at both sides in order to begin to remove it. It helps to unhook the face shield, so that you can get at the film. It is rather tenacious, but when you have finished, the shield is a beautiful water-colorless, water-clear, shield.I have been using this shield, and it is marvelous. It is not long before I forget it is there.Highly recommended, but only if you remove those 2 plastic film layers. Why the provider of the shield does not provide this info, I have no idea. Probably it is because it is generally sold to people who know all about these things, and remove the films without even thinking about it.If you get the shield and are upset that it is green and translucent, well then, just remove those pesky films and all will be well.Note also the the shield is made of polycarbonate plastic which is nearly indestructible. You can use it in confidence that it will protect you.
