fits the 1911 snugly. feels comfortable, but makes the gun a little wider at the grips.

Very good grip, well designed for the 1911 platform. It was a very tight fit, and I had to push it in place in a couple of areas, such as under the hand guard, but it fit very tight, absolutely no slippage, and it's a very comfortable grip. Very happy with it!

Gives a whole new feel to my old Thompson 1911 45 acp. Molds to your fingers and it is such a great grip to this weapon. Easy to install, took me less than 5 min, and I should have bought these years ago. Rubber is durable, came in time packaged well, and regarding placement, don’t tighten down all the screws till it’s completely snapped over. If worse comes to worse, heat up rubber with a blow dryer(warm to the touch) to give you elasticity. Holes lined up well, color looks like it was specifically made for my 45, and the appearance just changes and updates the look. Great value…(I’d show pictures, but Amazon AI kicked back my review because I showed a handgun. Well duhhh… these are GRIPS for a Handgun. You want me to show them on a lawnmower???).Just tried the edit and added the picture..we’ll see what happens..(one last try)Well…get them. I highly -highly recommend these grips. Took my (oh hums…yeah it’s okay) to a “oh wow!!! What the:…oh man….this is really nice….”

Much better feel and security than the factory hard plastic serrated grip plates it replaced. Easy to install and appears to be well made of high quality materials. Worth the price for the performance and comfort.

As others have mentioned, the grip can be difficult to install. Once one discovers the trick, it is not too difficult. The grip provides a much more comfortable and secure grip than factory grips. I am completely pleased with it. The Hogue rep told me this grip works for ambidextrous safeties. This is not completely true if your safety is the type with an arm that must fit under the right hand grip. This grip must be cut away to clear this arm. Then after a while the safety may tend to work out. The grip will not allow it to come completely out but since the grip is rubber, it will begin to bulge out. I did not like that, so removed the right hand safety. If you must have an ambidextrous safety, get the type that is retained by a special hammer pin.
