Not sure if this fits all built in pools but sure did fit my pentair pump's skimmer. The depth and width fit perfect and so easy to put in and especially to take out. Just a little bend over - grab the tower handle and I promise your knees won't ache and you won't risk falling in the pool LOL. Highly recommend due to quality, thick material. I do believe this basket will last a lot longer than ones I've purchased in the past.

decent quality for the price it fit perfectly in our skimmer! I know some people commented that they needed to replace it in a few months, but for the price and the chemicals that go through it, I think it’s a great deal.

I read reviews that said it was too big for the skimmer. When I dropped mine down into the skimmer the first rim caught it- so I also thought it to be too large- but a simple tilt of the basket and it slipped in perfectly. It allows my pumps to still do its job if the basket fills with leaves. Lifesaver for sure. Just wish I’d seen it sooner!!!!!

My previous one broke after 3 years so I bought one just like it since I know it fits. I like the tall handle to lift it out so I don't have to stick my hand in the water if it's cold or has critters in the skimmer.

I have bought several of these and I find that they do not hold up much longer than a year. Specifically, the handle literally crumbles and breaks off. I keep buying them because I like having the handle to lift them up out of the water and not having to put my hand down in the skimmer. I have resigned myself to the fact that these are disposable. For that reason, they should definitely lower the price.

I really like this basket but I had intended to use it with a float valve (aka flying saucer) underneath it. The basket on this unit is approximately 6" deep which is slightly deeper than some baskets. In any case, this unit was too deep to allow for the float valve. My pool has a Sta-Rite / Swim Quip U3 Skimmer. Otherwise, I love the handle idea. My unit came with one metal rod inside the handle. This rod is simply a weight to help keep the basket from floating up when your pump turns off. The rod is about a 1/4" in diameter and both ends had some sharp points from being cut. As such, I was a bit worried that the rod might find a way to tear through the bottom of the basket. I replaced the rod with a 20 mm socket. This works great because the socket has a hole water can go through and it weighs approximately twice as much as the supplied rod. The handle simply screws off allowing you to remove the rod and replace it with whatever type of weight (rocks, sockets, etc.) you like. If I decide to not use a float valve then this will definitely be my go to basket.
