I have seen these things around for years and never gave them any thought. Finally, I decided to give one a try and I cannot believe that I didn't do this sooner this thing is a complete game changer. It takes measurements in any direction from any point giving you distances and centering it with ease. This saves so much time that it easily pays for itself, and I will never be without one again.
