My original carb gummed up, I was thinking about tearing it down and cleaning but found this replacement for a few more dollars then all the cleaning and materials and bypassed the hassle and time. 5 minute swap started right up.

I bought this for an Earthquake Pioneer rear tine tiller. The parts list that came with the tiller listed a different carb number than this one, but it looked the same so I thought the old one had just been superseded by a new number, and took a chance on it.To start with, the fuel filters are unusable with this tiller. The original fuel "filter" is just a screw-in fitting with a screen. Better than noting, but not a filter. The fuel line supplied with this kit is too short, but that is OK since it's also too small to use with the OEM tank outlet.I used the old line, which is the right size for the tank, but too large for the new carb. The OEM clamp wouldn't tighten it down enough to stop it from leaking. Fortunately, I had an assortment of screw-type hose clamps, purchased from a well-known discount tool retailer, one of which did the trick. The carb itself does mount as it should, and the throttle rod fits properly. The tiller started on the third pull, but it may be that I didn't need to choke it in today's 90-degree heat. Subsequent starts, without choke, had it running on the first pull. It runs well, seems to have all the power it should have, so I'm going to leave it as it is.

My two year old Viper rototiller never ran right. For a fee dollars problem solved. Easy to replace. Watch a video on u tube. In addition to that I installed a shutoff valve on the gas line. Easy way to run the carburetor dry.

This carb was easy to replace, and my tiller started up on this first pull. It runs better now than it ever has.

I did not know how easy it was to change a carburetor. Or how easy it was to clean the old one! Any way, I have the old one as a spare, and the new one runs my rototiller perfectly!

Way easier than cleaning the old one. Why fix things when you can replace them. It’s like a Tinder relationship, lawn care edition.

Bought a new earthquake front motor tiller and it wouldn’t regulate enough to till. Unfortunately I was left with no other option but to replace the carb setup. So far runs great.
