Thermocouple Pipe clamp. I ordered and a similar one, to connect to a heat pump to set up and charge. I set one at two different points in the HVAC heat pump system, connected to a couple different multimeters, to check temperatures. It worked as I expected and was a decent value for the cost. If I was going to perform this system check multiple times per week, I would get a system that would transmit the data to one location, but this works great for how seldom I will need it. The other mentioned system is considerable higher cost.

I wanted to measure temperature of something over time, without placing the probe each time. This is what I needed.(The good news):- It clamps in place and stays there.- It has a standard type-K mini-thermocouple plug so it can be plugged into my digital thermometer.- It comes with an adaptor to allow plugging into my multimeter.- At a little more than 32 inches, the cable is long enough for my purposes. They say "40 inches." If you measure the length of the clamp probe and the connectors, you get that but the flexible part is about 32.5 inches.(The bad news):- It is a clamp so it squeezes a bit much. I measured it as exerting ten pounds of force trying to close when it is fully open. That is good because you get better heat transfer but bad if you are trying to measure something fragile.- While it opens to about 1.75 inches, because of the way the jaws are shaped, you can't clamp it on anything more than about an inch and expect it to stay. My picture shows it clamped on a flashlight that is an inch in diameter. For that, it works great. When I tried to clamp it on to anything bigger than about 1 1/4 inches, it just slips off.- (This is actually good news), they say, "banana plug adapter sold separately." Yes, you can buy one separately on Amazon but I got one with my clamp probe, no separate purchase needed.(Not good or bad):- They say, "accuracy ... depends on the precision of the meter...". That it does but it also depends on how it is being used. To get precise, repeatable measurements, you have to keep an eye on the temperature of the meter end of the probe. If you plug this into my digital thermometer, I am confident I can get solid measurements. With my multimeter, not so much. The banana jack adaptor will help because it will keep the temperature of the two plugs the same as each other and hopefully, as the meter.- The actual thermocouple is welded(?) to the back of the stainless pad inside the clamp. It is protected and will measure the temperature of the pad.

Not only works with a multimeter but also works directly with a temperature meter. I'll be using this for my HVAC/refrigeration projects around the house. Seems to be accurate enough for what I'll be using it for anyhow as I want to see temperatures but also fluctuations in temperature while I'm working on refrigeration systems. My temp meter seems to react to it fairly well.
