The 45 degree elbow doesn't fit the plastic piece with the filter sock. Read other reviewers that said the same thing and they are right. Even with that i could have made it work but the reason im returning it is that the plastic piece the filter sock is attached to is came cracked in two places so its only a matter of time before it falls apart.

Very poor design! The 45° piece doesn't stay in place which makes this product useless. Waste of money!

Perfectly fit the tote, allows the downspout to go right over the tote and filters out any leaves.

So the 45 deg adapter did not fit any of my 3” Schedule 40 PVC pipe fittings, but the 3” pipe fits perfectly directly into the lid-sock filter assembly. Solid construction for the lid. Will have to see if the sock filter holds up…

It’s cheaply made and the parts don’t fit together well, but it works. It’s expensive for what it is.

Works as expected but the 45 deg connector does not fit the cap tight enough. It just sits on top no means to tighten it up. The filter and cap are fine. I used duck tape temporary to hold it in place until I figure out a better way.

Honestly, I can’t believe this is for sale. Do yourself a favor and just buy a roll of duct tape. It also won’t serve the purpose that this thing is intended for, but you can use it for something else. I tried to make this work in two different scenarios and it just falls apart. I would return it but I am past the return window. Buy this if you want to lose faith in humanity.

The pipe on top does not lock in place. They give you a washer and it looks firm but really any amount of pushing from a hose will dislodge it. There is also a tab on the strainer that blocks the pipe from fitting well. Should I cut it off? This might break the strainer or make it fall into the tank. Not a great solution but perhaps you can rig something with it.
