After putting together a few iterations of a water barrel system, involving forcing some gaskets into holes, hoses into gaskets, some Dremel tool adjustment of sizing of everything in between, and a generally frustrating experience, it was nice to be able to order this setup, which takes a significant amount of user error out of the equation. All of the materials are of decent quality, though I will admit the box this came in was much smaller than I had anticipated from the product photos. That being said, this is a great, fairly straightforward setup if you're willing to invest the time into making sure everything is installed and accounted for in the right order. The drill bit sizing is appropriate and the instructions were clear. Considering ordering a few more of these to replace the current jerry-rigged setup we have installed on our barrels. Would recommend!

Works just as advertised. Very easy to assemble and the instructions that came with this rain barrel kit were very easy to follow. IN fact my 8 year old put most of it together for me. i would reccomend this product to any gardener.

This is the year I'm finally going to put rain barrels around the house! This kit contains everything we'll need, except for the barrel. The instructions are very clear, and should be easy to follow. If not, the video on the product page looks very easy to understand. The materials all seem like they are very good quality and should work well.

Can't figure out how to contact the company or Amazon so here's my review. The diverter leaks from all four corners where it is attached to the downspout. I've tried silicone, still leaks. I've turned it on and off, still leaks. I want the rain water to be in the gutter downspout or in the rain barrel, not on the ground below. Now I have a massive hole in my downspout. If the company could reach out that would be fantastic.

This kit has everything you need to install a diverter into your own barrel, all you need is a drill to run the provided drill bit, and the barrel. You drill a hole in your downspout, insert a soft rubber catcher, attach the outside part of it on the outside of the downspout with screws, then run the hose over to your barrel.The soft rubber part is what catches the water coming down your downspout. But it will cover only maybe 20% at most of the cross-section of the downspout, so this will not fill your barrel quickly even in a heavy rainstorm. Most of the water will run past it. Perhaps you could add some morre foam inside, but that's hard to do inside a downspout unless you detach the downspout section and work near a joint, because hard foam won't fit in the hole made by the drill bit.Gaskets are provided to button everything up. It's a well made kit, it just will fill the bucket slowly even with the valve fully turned to divert water into the bucket.

This is a very clever design with everything you need to install a collection system in a standard rain gutter downspout, including the hole saw. All you need to provide is the collection barrel.First, you drill a hole in the downspout, then push a flexible rubber collection piece through the hole. A plastic piece is screw mounted on the outside to fix the collector piece to the downspout and holds the plastic on/off valve in place. The design of the collection piece allows water in the center of the downspout to bypass the valve. When the valve is on, all of the water coming down the sides of the downspout are diverted to the collection hose. The other end of the collection hose is mounted to your collection barrel (drill the hole for the hose as high as possible). Gaskets, adapters, hose clamp, etc, are all included. Will wait till spring and install this to collect rainwater from our greenhouse roof rather than use tap water. There is a great video that shows how simple installation is.

This is a great rain diverter kit for rain barrels and tanks. The parts all seem to be durable plastic and rubber, and come with everything you need to setup a rain barrel except the spigot. It even comes with the hole saw to drill a hole in your gutter downspout.The installation is easy. I love that I don't have to cut the whole downspout pipe in half in order to fit it into place. You just use the included hole saw to drill a hole in your downspout wherever you want it, and insert the rubber rain collection fitting into the hole and it will expand to fit inside the downspout.I also love that when the barrel is full, you don't need to drill and attach another pipe to divert overflow water back into the downspout. You just turn the knob in the fitting attached to the gutter to turn it off so it won't catch anymore water.This kit is sleek looking, functions great and fits well in the downspout and in the barrel to easily catch and divert rainwater, saving money on watering the garden and potted plants. I love it!
