I have ordered 4 of these. 2 were “large” and 2 were definitely smaller. They were also different colors. Within minutes, my dog had chewed the smaller one into pieces, leaving sharp shards and edges. These are not long lasting! As stated in another review, are these really the horns from this company? I’m beginning to wonder. I have not ordered directly from the Icelandic company, but these on Amazon are horrible quality!

I know this product is about what dogs like, but since it was my $15, I get a say as well.I opened this product this morning when it arrived. I looked it over and snapped a photo to show my daughter who is also looking for a good natural chew product. The horn had a large chunk cut out of the large end and was somewhat thin and fragile feeling compared to other horns we’ve bought. I allowed my nine month old Australian Shepherd to chew on it while I prepared his breakfast and he loved it, however, he immediately began splintering it where the chunk was cut out. Concerned, I read over the description again and saw that it was “edible” so I let him have it until it was time to eat. This evening I let him have it again and he was enthusiastic, but I felt uneasy and kept a close eye on him. Then his Bassett Hound sister decided to have a go at it. She’s five years old. After she’d had it for about fifteen minutes, I noticed blood all over the end. I took it away and it was very splintered. The splinters were sharp and when I inspected my Bassett’s mouth her gums and the roof of her mouth were bleeding. I threw the thing away, much to both dog’s dismay. I later fished it out of the trash for photos. It was covered in dog hair from brushing my Aussie and putting his hair in the trash so I hosed it off so you could see it, that’s why it’s wet.Dogs give it a thumbs up…that is, if they had thumbs.Me, I wish I’d never bought it. In all, maybe an hour total chew time between the dogs and a possible visit to the vet if my Bassett’s mouth is too torn up. Aussie’s mouth appears fine.

My dogs love these Icelandic Lamb horns. They chew on them daily. I try to keep them on hand as they are so good for cleaning their teeth. They are a little spendier than many other long lasting dog chews but they are worth it. I've never found something equivalent in regards to my dogs loving them and chewing them daily. They go through them within 2-3 weeks because they chew on them so much but it's not because they are soft or easy to eat. It's just because my dogs love them so much and they chew on them a ton. They can be a little stinky but they are worth it. Way better than antlers or water buffalo horns.

I have a 1yo pitbull and she’s a aggressive chewer. I let her gnaw on this for a while and I’ve noticed some splinters. First day I gave it to her she was fine . On the second day she swallowed some smalls pieces after couple hours she threw up . I liked because it really lasted a while but it did upset her stomach. No more then

The item that arrived as very small - maybe 5-6” long. It was also hollow and frail. Broke apart into shards when my dog first chewed it. I had to remove it from her and throw it out.Wouldn’t recommend. Try Gobi Goat brand instead.

Smellier than I anticipated, but makes doggo love it even more. Has been providing satisfying chew sessions for a week. Good value for a dog chew that lasts a long time for this power chewer.

My 1 year old Catahoula Leopard (medium sized aggressive chewer) loved it! He chewed on it for several hours at a time and it lasted a week. It's a bit pricey for me to purchase consistently considering how fast the pup finished it but 10+ hours of chewing isn't bad! Filling it with peanut butter once was also a big hit. There are tiny pieces that flake off that create a small mess and it smells like wet cheerios when chewed which was annoying but definitely tolerable. I'll be purchasing again!

first time buying this icelandic lamb horn. it even sounds fancy! So the size is prob 6 inches. it has a cool multi color look to it, a bit more swirly. the thickness is not as thick as a water buffalo horn. gave it to my dogs. they LOVED it. i would also say that the smell wasn't as bad as the buffalo horn (which smells like a nasty fart smell) but within 1-2 hours - my big dog - chewed 3/4 of it already. its seems to be softer than a regular horn - so its easier for them to gnaw. which is probably very satisfying to them. Im glad they like it so much, i do wish it can last longer. there was also some little fibers where they were chewing. just tiny little pieces, not a deal breaker. i think i will definitely buy again - maybe for a special occasion since they will eat it up in 1 day. if you have a medium chewer - i would definitely get this all the time. its definetly worth it - to see them enjoy it so much. looks cool. doesn't smell too bad. good product
