Product Description

ThermoFloor is a 3-in-1 heating, insulating, and noise suppressing heated underlayment mat designed for fast and easy installation, without cement, under floating or glued-down laminate, engineered wood and wood floors.

ThermoFloor is made in the USA with FiberThermics, the safest and most advanced heating technology available. Like fiber-optics conducts light through fibers, FiberThermics conducts electricity through temperature self-limiting fibers to create the safest, healthiest heat that can be installed with peace of mind directly under combustible laminate and wood floors. It not only warms the floor, its integral, premium underlayment pad insulates cold subfloors (R value = 0.5).

What's more, ThermoFloor's Field Impact Insulation Class (FIIC) rating of 60 exceeds the International Building Code standard of 50 for insulating floor noise in condominium and multi-story buildings.

ThermoFloor provides a separation membrane in tile and other cementitious floor installations to prevent grout line cracks. It replaces generic underlayment pads and installs without cement! ThermoFloor is ideal for new construction or when remodeling to make any room in the house cozier and more comfortable. Use ThermoFloor to heat or supplement any room, addition or basement. Installing a warm floor couldn't be easier.

Select the ThermoFloor mat sizes that best fit your floor space. Simply roll out the ThermoFloor heating mat, duct tape the seams, connect the lead wires to the thermostat (purchased separately) and lay the floor. Follow separate instructions for glued and tiled floors. No step-down transformers, on-site splice connections or special tools are required.

Why Choose ThermoFloor?

  • Safe and reliable FiberThermics heating elements mean peace of mind under combustible laminate and wood floors.
  • Complete solution – Subfloor, Noise Reduction, Mold and Mildew Resistance, Moisture Wicking, and Heating in one system.
  • Ready-To-Go – Simply roll out underlayment, make electrical connections, lay laminate or engineered wood, and enjoy your new warm floors.

How to Choose Your ThermoFloor Mats:

  • You can combine several, any-size mats to get the right total coverage.
  • ThermoFloor cannot be cut. Make sure you choose the mat sizes you need to fit your specific application.
  • Measure the area of the room and subtract any area with permanent fixtures or flat-bottomed furniture. Make sure the mat options you select will fit together without overlapping or cutting.
  • If you need help choosing your fit, please contact our support team.

  • Make sure you choose a single voltage option when purchasing multiple mats. 120V and 240V mats do not mix voltages connecting to one thermostat.
  • 120V – Use this variation if you have a room under 200 sq. ft.
  • 240V – Use this variation if you have a room over 200 sq. ft.

  • You will need one thermostat per 200 sq. ft. with a 120-Volt system and one thermostat per 400 sq. ft. with a 240-Volt system.
  • A 240-Volt system heats the same as 120-Volt, there is no need to use a 240-Volt on heated areas less than 150 sq. ft.
  • Fill any unheated area with 1/8" padding.

Why Choose Electric Radiant Floor Heat?

Exceptional Comfort

  • Directly warms the body, not the ceiling, so it feels warmer than forced-air or convective heat.
  • Warms from the floor up, unlike forced air heat that leaves the legs and feet cold.
  • Radiant floor heat is totally quiet. There are no noisy fans blowing warm air into the room.
  • No uncomfortable drafts because there are no fans blowing air.

Cleaner & Healthier

  • Cleaner, healthier and hypoallergenic because they eliminate the need for carpet.
  • No dirty vents or ducts that trap and circulate air with dirt, dust mites and allergens.
  • Electric radiant floors are maintenance free, so there are no dirty filters to change.

Saves Energy

  • Radiant heat feels 6-8 degrees (F) warmer than forced air. You can save an estimated 3-5% for every degree the thermostat is turned down.
  • Radiant heat does not rise to the ceiling, where an enormous amount of convective heat is wasted.
  • Utilizes 100% of supplied electrical energy to create warmth directly under the floor. No energy is expended operating fans or pumps.

These worked ok for about 4 months. They take extremely long to warm up if placed on concrete under the floor you decide to install. Now one of the mats I installed no longer works. I noticed it was not heating up then I took a meter to it and noticed there is no current draw while T-stat is on. This is a major bummer since I would now have to uninstall my finished floor to investigate. Really disappointing. Buyer beware that this could happen and you are left with just an expensive “cushion” under your floor!

My father-in-law recommended floor heaters from Thermosoft. He has it for 10 years already at his house. It works great. We placed this in a dining room. It is very warm a cosy. There is nothing better than to walk barefooted on a warm floor. It was easy to install too.
