Hard on the thumbs to open especially if it's cold. The ends deform if you have a heavy bike (ebike).

The eBike frame adaptor is easy to install, supports the bike in the rack correctly, and easy to adjust to different seat handlebar lengths. Great product at a good price!

The adapter is hard to use because it's difficult to push the buttons to slide and open it. Once they're open it's OK to adjust. I don't have the grip strength I once had so maybe it wouldn't be so hard to use for someone else. It is well made.

I own a Velotric Nomad 1 step-through eBike and a hitch-mounted rack that uses a sliding clamp that's meant to secure onto the top tube. While I can lower the clamp way down to where the front and rear frame meet it's a very low and unstable point and it can be difficult with the pedals and sprockets in the way. This cross bar makes securing the bike in the rack simple and secure! All you do is secure one end of bar around your stem and saddle posts, adjust the length, and lower the clamp on the bar, done. While the listing states that the clamps are non-scratching the material still felt like it could rub some paint off but I see no damage on my bike after about 10 hours or so of highway driving. This cross-bar works surprisingly well when securing step-through bikes to a rack!

The strength of this frame adapter makes it useful. We used it on a REI 1.1 City e-bike, and it settled onto the rack and rode 1,900 miles with no issues. The mechanism for attaching the ends to the bike is simple, straightforward, and so far doesn't seem to jam. The "length" adjustment seems a little low-tech, but the device has enough strength that it doesn't matter. The large diameters of the tubes holding it together means straps or bungies on my Saris Bones 2 rack for keeping the bike secure, but that's not a concern to me. If you're looking for full "plug-and-play," this isn't really for you (maybe buy a case and ship UPS?).It's a solid piece of hardware at a good price. It works, and I have no concerns.

Easy to install. Attaches to the bike and secures it to bike rack as designed. I moved it up to secure at the seat post.
