Have only removed from box and studied instructions. Not mounted. First impressions pretty low. For that much dough, expected better build quality. Plastic gauge about as light as possible. The clamps seem super cheap. I priced out some thule clamps in event these didn't work (150 bucks a pair) which are light years better quality. Still, only 9 foot box on market. Bet textter work out.

Good rod box. What I like the most - you can adjust length depending of your rod.

I bought this rod box because many of my rods are longer than 9’, and there are very few alternatives available that I liked. Not only can the Inno rod box be adapted to carry a variety of rod lengths up to 9’, it can also carry two-handers, long-handled bait and spinning rods, and single-hand fly rods simultaneously. This is key so that an angler can carry an arsenal of rods for a big trip, or so a gear guy and a fly guy can travel together and throw their gear in the same box.Sure, there are other tube-style rod boxes that can carry two-handed fly rods, and as with the Inno, you have to break them down to make them fit, but none of the other rod boxes are big enough to comfortably carry six two-handed fly rods broken down in two, without risk of damage or rod-mating, which is why I chose this box over all the others I researched. This box is also intuitive and fairly quick to assemble and install. My only complaint is that the mounting clamps are only meant to work with thin and oblong crossbars. I bought this to go on a rack I made out of 1-1/2” square tubing, which is too big for the Inno clamps. The instructions state the clamps won’t work with round crossbars, but I didn’t see any mention of a limit on how thick they could be. No biggie; I just got some u-bolts and pre-drilled flat strap, and I made my own mounting system. I know of some Thule clamps that are large enough to clamp the box to the larger crossbars, but I probably won’t bother with ordering those until the snow flies. If I were to make a suggestion on how to improve this box, I would suggest including a set of straps to ensure the rods don’t bounce around while traveling on bumpy roads.

Taking the rods on a road trip always messes up the packing. Moving the rods to the roof is going to be great. This was a fairly easy assembly and seems to be a good product.
