We recently decided to replace a 1952 toilet with a new one. The snag was that (a) the 1952 had a 10" distance from wall to drain, while the new one had a 12" distance, and (b) the new one needed to move slightly to the right of where the 1952 model was. This solved the problem; this closet flange could be attached to the PVC drain pipe and turned at an angle to allow both of the offsets we needed, enabling us to put down a new wax ring and set the new toilet in place. It was a lot better solution than the plumber's idea, which was, "Hey, let's just tear out the living room ceiling below the bathroom, and I can run all new pipes and do this job right!" Um, sure. Or, let's try this. 1923 plaster ceiling intact, new plumbing fixture installed and working, hooray for the fact that Amazon carried this, and their available overnight delivery!
