Broke my Snap-On tap from my set. When I tried to replace it, I was told they were back ordered indefinite. I found out Irwin makes them for Snap-On until they changed manufactures recently. Works just as good and way cheaper than getting one off the tool truck

First a shout out to MaxWarehouse for getting this sent out and delivered to me earlier than expected! In some respects I may be a little old fashioned, but still prefer products Made in the USA (or Made in Germany). Irwin has always produced top notch, consistent quality products in my opinion, and I'm happy to do what I can to support them. No-brainer, the right tool for the job.

I messed up the threads on my cylinder head putting it back together. I stopped, ordered one of the beauties, and fixed the boogered up thread. The exhaust manifold bolted right on after that like nothing happened.I would recommend backing it out and cleaning the debris often. It cuts well so it makes a lot of chips.

Seems to be a good quality tap.....I'm sure it's not the best on the market, but not a cheap Chinese one.

I used some weird tap from a big kit that my autoshop had.Big mistake, it broke off inside and funnily enough was easily removed by a drill, garbage.This one worked perfectly fine on my BMW, which had to have an m8 rethreaded.feels high quality, after tapping the hole there was not even a whisper of damage.Highly recommended
