Beautiful dark blue ceramic sauce dishes, almost cobalt in spots. Gorgeous glazing makes them look hand glazed. These are a substantial weight, not thin and overly fragile. Sure to upgrade your at home sushi dining!

I've recently incorporated these sauce dishes into my dining setup. This set of four dishes, featuring a blue vintage design, promised elegance and authenticity.The visual appeal of these dishes is striking. Each dish's intricate blue vintage pattern is genuinely beautiful and adds a sophisticated touch to my table. Their appearance makes them stand out, perfect for occasions where presentation matters.These dishes are also practical. Their size is ideal for individual servings of soy sauce, wasabi, or dipping sauce, making them perfect for sushi, dumplings, or any appetizer requiring a dip. The ceramic material feels sturdy in hand, suggesting durability with proper care.However, their delicateness is a downside. While the ceramic contributes to their aesthetic and sturdy feel, it's prone to chipping if not handled carefully. After several uses, I noticed a small chip on one dish despite cautious handling and washing. This fragility is something to consider, especially in a household like mine where items get much use and occasional rough handling. Regardless, these are quality pieces, delicate ones.While generally easy to clean by hand, the intricate pattern and small size can make it challenging to remove all residue if not rinsed soon after use. They differ from the dishware you'd want to leave sitting around dirty until the next dishwasher cycle.

My sons love the tiny dishes for their sauces, and these guys work great. My son even ate a small amount of ice cream out of one. Bit hit in my house. A+
