Lid fits loosely into valve box but not snug enough that a lawn mower can’t suck it up or a dog access it.

It was a tight fit fit but I prefer it over those that are loose and will fly off when mowed over. It seems sturdy.

Worked perfect to replace the cover of my in ground wiring for my sprinkler system that I broke when aerating. Since it comes in a 2 pack I have another on hand as backup! Great product.
