I haven't tried the OEM hood so there's no basis for comparison, but this hood fit perfectly, clicked into place firmly, and there is no vignetting. Cap isn't the smoothest sliding down, but that also means it's not just going to fly off by itself. Looks way cooler and is way less bulky and obtrusive than the hood that comes with the lens.

I gave it a 3 due to not sure how it wold fit on the right. I purchase the wrong hood as I was only looking at the size for my Canon and not the brand as this was for a Fuji.
