I had a sign that had some pretty substantial rust on it. I used the circular brush from this set and removed the rust and repainted the sign. It looks great.

of the couple hundred listings for "brass" wire wheels on amazon i spent about an hour weeding out all the listings for coated steel. i bought 3 different brands and of course all 3 were brass coated steel. time to cancel prime.

I purchased this item hoping to pop in into my husband's drill and refinish a metal table that had a fire mishap (don't ask). I though these looked nice and sturdy, and hey - they were gold, so who doesn't like that? I will tell you who - my husband. He asked if I also purchased a disposable, junk drill to go along with my choice of wire brush sets, and further relayed those brushes would not be going anywhere near his drill. I had no idea drills or husbands had become so bougie. He also warned that I could lose an eye if I tried to use this set as they were poorly made and the bristles were already coming off, and since I like the idea of having both of my eyes, I went along with the drill's ill toward notions of the wire brush set and returned them. My table is still hideous with no end in sight.

Purchased this for "brass" brushes. I'm no metallurgist, but I'm fairly certain magnets don't stick to brass.Brass coated steel wire isn't what I wanted, yet that's what I got.

This was purchased as a replacement for my Harbor Freight (warrior brand) wire wheels that were wore out while removing built up cooking residue from a couple of cast iron pans.The steel wires are thicker/stronger than my HF product and the wheels did not wear out as quickly as the HF product.I haven't had a chance to use the brass wheels yet.
