If you know anything about cameras you know the deal with Kase filters. They're very well made, versatile and highly functional filters. Their Revolution magnetic filter system is downright revolutionary (no pun intended...well, a little bit intended) and has changed the way I use filters for my photo work. You've got high quality optical glass that has a zillion layers of coating in an aluminum alloy frame. This filter is a ND100000 which might not be the most versatile in terms of use cases but is essential for shooting the sun or anything else that emits a ridiculous amount of light. They're also good for really vivid sunset and sunrise shots. You can also use them for extremely long exposure shots. I probably don't need to explain this, but the ND100000 means that only 1/1000th of ambient light reaches the sensor. I don't use this type of filter often but when I'm out in the desert I like taking landscape shots and it'll be perfect for this. Highly recommended!

I’ve never really gotten a bad filter from KASE. They are premium brand well not cheap they are certainly less expensive than the equivalent in Japanese an Germany filters. And I think the quality is comparable. This one is about as dark as it gets without being a peak. It’s 16 1/2 stops which will let you do extremely long exposures in the middle of the day. It’s great for shooting things like moving water and clouds. If you’re doing seascapes it will really smooth out the water. You can get some beautiful effects with this. It’s impressive to make a filter with that much light reduction that still gives you a neutral cast on your image. This thing is excellent..It’s color-coded as it’s part of the magnetic wolverine system. The optical glass is perfect and the high quality precision machine frames are easy to use as they just pop on to your lens with the magnetic adapter. If you use a lot of filters it saves in a Normas amount of time and I’m really surprised that these things didn’t show up on the scene sooner. I feel like I’ve spent days of my life screwing and unscrewing filters off of the lens. The wolverine magnetic system is not only color-coded for easy identification, but it allows you to easily stack multiple filters on top of each other. The frame has a very nice texture to allow you to get a good grip on the filter. This is premium quality all of the way.
