Quality construction well engineered. Perfect fit. A great addition to your CT 125 to carry some essentials. Best of all at least the rear rack open for a seat, cushion and hiking pegs for your passenger.

Was as expected. It took all of 15 minutes to install but the Allen head bolts are junk and stripped so now I can’t remove the rack to inspect my battery

I really like this rack. It is good looking and adds function to an unused area of the motorcycle. It is easy to install.

So I see a theme with the reviews: for a $100 item they don't pack this well.Like others, mine arrived with the pieces in bubblewrap sleeves but one of them had fallen out and was rattling around. Thankfully there was no damage but a little extra padding could prevent this. So just keep that in mind since this seems to be a regular issue with this item.Regarding the rack itself, it's incredibly strong quality metal and is super easy to put together. It's three pieces plus screws. There is no doubt its well made & worth the money.

This rack fit well and was easy to install. Besides that, it looks awesome on the bike.

Moving the box you could hear metal on metal, so it was clear something wasn’t packed well. The carrier is simple, only three pieces. A pair of brackets and the center carrier. And a bag of hardware. Each of the three metal pieces was in their own bubble wrap pouch, but the pouches were wide open. These three pouches along with the hardware bag were loose in the box with no packing material, so the brackets had fallen out of the pouches and were bouncing against the carrier. Enough to cause half a dozen small scratches in the flat black paint. It is easy enough to respray some flat black paint onto the carrier, but it shouldn’t be necessary. The carrier and brackets measure .119” thick, making them very sturdy. Lots of interesting cutouts, as expected everything appears to be laser cut. The description says stainless steel, but I don’t think the one I got is anything but regular cold rolled sheet steel. Using a magnet, the attraction feels exactly like regular steel, so it certainly is not a 300 series stainless. The hardware is all stainless, except for the three black spacers which are aluminum. The four screws that hold the brackets to the carrier are a nice looking button head Allen screw, though you might want to apply some anti seize so they don’t do that annoying thread gall that stainless screws and nuts are known for. If I could make a recommendation to the manufacturer, these four nuts should have been replaced by clinch-type threaded inserts. It would look better and be easier. There is a problem with the installation regarding the center screw that holds the bottom of the carrier through the Battery Lid. The factory screw, a 90133-KPP-T00, is a shoulder screw which bottoms directly to the frame without crushing the plastic Battery Lid. This carrier requires you to remove the shoulder screw and replace it with a longer screw and a round spacer. The spacer needs to have a reduced diameter shoulder so it can rest directly on the metal frame without compressing the plastic Battery Lid. For reference, the two 8mm (thread dia) bolts that hold the side brackets to the frame should be torqued to 16 ft-lbs, and the single 6mm bolt going through the bottom of the carrier and the Battery Lid should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs.As long as I’m complaining about hardware details, the two supplied 8mm side screws and the one 6mm screw are quite a bit too long for the application. There is enough clearance for them to tighten fully, but it is way too much penetration. Also, for consistency with the stock Honda hardware, the two side bolts should have a 6mm hex head instead of 5mm, and the one center screw should have a 5mm head head instead of 4mm (there’s no other 4mm hex head on the bike, that I’m aware of). Don’t forget, anytime you need access to your battery you will be removing these three bolts and the entire carrier. In spite of these shortcomings, the center screw with no shoulder being a fatal flaw, there is a lot to like about this carrier. First off, many CT125 accessories require shipping from overseas, so having this product available on Amazon is a real benefit. Being made entirely from 11 gauge - .120” steel makes this product sturdy. The fit to the bike is very good, there is no contact to the bike except the three mounting points. The CT125 has a pronounced lack of symmetry due to the exhaust on the right and the air intake being channeled thorough the left, and the designers of this carrier have done an excellent job of accommodating the differences. Finally, installation of this product is quick, even initial installation won’t take more than ten minutes or so.It is going to take some creativity to regain the shoulder function for the lower bolt. One idea might be to drill the original fastener to 6mm, that would leave you with just the shoulder and the screw head. Then you could shorten the supplied black spacer (if necessary) and assemble using both. Another solution would be a stud welded to the original shoulder screw, with a slot in the end so it could be tightened and then an acorn nut to hold the carrier. A third solution might be a coupling nut cut to the length of the spacer and welded to the shoulder screw - I think that is my favorite at the moment. 4 stars for this product that could use improvement but nonetheless is something you can work with.
