If you're looking for a universal clamp-on intake, the diameter should be, well...universal. In this case, I was trying to replace my AEM V2 cold air intake filter which was getting long in the tooth with a K&N one. Sadly, it's just not wide enough (See photos).K&N make great stuff, and it would have been nicer if this had fit. I use K&N filters on my other car and they have given me no problems. The price for this filter is good too, but I'll have to return it and look for AEM's version which is likely to cost more for what is most likely a rebranded K&N filter anyways.

The K&N air filter for my 2003 Celica cold air intake was well overdue. A little bit pricey compared to when I first bought the kit, but it has been many years. Didn't realize how dirty the old one was until replacing with a fresh and clean one. Car idles and breathes better when driving.

I bought a used 2000 Miata about ten years ago. There have been some issues with excessive temps. Keeping the air filter cleaner-than-not doesn't hurt/ always helps. My miata came with a K&N pipe channel and a small-to-medium reusable filter. The K&N cleaning kit with heavy detergent loosener and (after-dry) protective oil spray is about $25 shipped. I've probably got both cans beneath the tools and spare bits in my trunk. But the car's been running hot---it's Gulf Alabama with 100' heat in the day. So rather than figure out where I can get access to an outside hose at my apartment, I treated the care to a new K&N filter, about twice as voluminous. I was surprised that it's a tighter fit on the K&N breather pipe. But once it's stuck well on, and you can tighten the metal band with a slotted screwdriver, it's done. This didn't fix everything, but the temps are clearly lower. The AC runs cooler. And I can clean the old K&N filter in preparation for the next air filter service. These do last at least ten years (as per the old filter).

😊I purchased these in pairs. One to install, and the 2nd to use as a spare if/when I swap out the dirty one for a clean one without a lot of "dry" time in between. I soak the dirty filter in a degreasing vat for 24hrs, and use a Brass 355° Adjustable Irrigation Spray Head to blast the dirt from the inside >> OUT and off the filter. -Let dry until the next filter swap. The dishwasher and laundry washer doesn't get it clean enough, and you risk contaminating the inside of the cylinder. It's BEST to "push" the dirt from the inside, and back out the way it came

Expected good quality, I've used them for over a decade. Make sure to clean your MAF sensor a couple weeks after installation to clean off any excess oil.

I have a 2005 Mazda 6 with 150,000 miles and it has K&N typhoon air intake and I needed a new air filter. This K&N air filter was the right fit and made car sound amazing. It also improved the throttle response as well. It also gives a very nice sound whenever you step on the gas pedal.

Fit and quality are excellent. Installed easily in my R53 Mini Cooper S with Alta CAI. I used this to replace the foam filter that came with it. I prefer the ease of maintenance with the K&N over the foam filter. Great fit, good airflow. An excellent product. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a high flow filter for their performance car or even their daily driver. The last air filter you will need to buy.

Bought a K&N Typhoon intake for my 2005 Mazda 6 about 2 years ago and I replaced the filter after about a year with a different brand. I was at an auto parts store and the guy told me he was positive it was a replacement for it and even took it out and put it on my car for me. Long story short, the knock-off filter just wouldn't slide up the pipe far enough to get a good hold and continually fell off causing my engine light to come on. Luckilly it never sucked anything large up into the engine. So I bought the actual K&N replacement on here for an extra $20 more than the knock-off was. I hate how expensive it is but I won't use anything but K&N from now on!
