I was working with heavy wire and needed to bend it without risk of damaging the insulation or putting sharp bends in the wire which would harden it. This was perfect. Excellent quality. Worth the slightly higher price compared to the competitors.

I was really having a hard time finding these for a similar price near me. I love them and abuse them when twist horseshoe nails and they hold up even better than some needle nose pliers I have.

Everything about this tool says "quality." The jaws close tightly for their entire length and are hardened steel. The grips are fim plastic that is just the right hardness for control and still are comfortable. THe hinge moves smoothly and precisely. This is is a very well-made tool that I wish I had bought decades ago.Denis

I wanted strong, round pliers so the teeth wouldn't leave marks on my hardware. I had to file these a bit to get rid of the sharp edge and clean all the excess oil off them. After that extra work, which was annoying considering the price, they do what I want.

There are the cheap and flimsy 4" or 5" pliers and then there's this Knipex ,the difference is night and day, these are the real round nose pliers, short but precise jaws, comfortable spongy handles, couldn't have asked for a better pair, the price is on the high side but the alternative was those small/spring loaded ones that are of dollar store quality, when it comes to tools , I try to buy something that I don't regret after .

Wonderful tools, by a reliable company. (I've Never bought anything from Knipex that was not top-notch!) Knipex pliers use a steel that "gives" just a tiny bit, if you are over-stressing them, but I've never actually bent a pair of them. They are very strong, and the slight flexing is a warning that I am about to go too far. I assume it's a combination of the quality steel used, and the tempering which allows a flex without taking a cold "set" (and turning into just another bent pair of pliers.) I own maybe 20 different Knipex pliers, wrenches, and cutters, and all of them will probably be passed on to my children: still perfectly straight and fully usable. Knipex has an very large online catalog, so you can look up the exact specs for any tool you are considering (in this case, I wanted to be able to make a particular diameter of loops in heavy wire, so I checked the physical size of the tip and base of the round tips. It was a little hassle, but I got EXACTLY what I need. That is usually impossible, unless you can hold and examine the physical product before purchase.
