I received a used yarn winder. The metal part of the yarn winder is all scratched up. How could you do this? I even paid extra for getting this machine sooner. I saved for months to buy this!

I was so excited that this winder could handle large balls of yarn. Come to find out, it works okay with bulky yarn until the end, then it just winds in the same spot instead of doing the crisscross thing. Then when I tried a 100g hank of DK weight yarn, it kept winding strands outside the cake and it made a weird oblong shape instead of a nice cake. I ended up buying a different style of winder, which works really well. The last picture is after I re-wound the burgundy skein. Also, when using the two cakes I made with this wooden winder to make new cakes on the other winder, I discovered both of the cakes are tangled up inside! I haves photo of the pink yarn tangled up but not the burgundy one. Winding yarn into cakes is supposed to help AVOID yarn barf. So I’m sending this wooden winder back.

Love ease of use and no assembly required.I wrap my resultant spool with handy dollar tree film wrap just to keep the end tidy and ease of storage.LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I’m really happy with the quality and functionality of this winder. I previously ordered and returned a different brand that was total crap and started falling apart the very first time I used it and this one of far superior! Worth the price. It wound a full skein of bulky yarn and had room for more. I’ve wound 15 skeins total so far and it’s working GREAT!

Got this winder as an upgrade from my economical plastic model. My wooden winder arrived looking slightly dented on a couple of wooden pieces, but not enough to make a fuss about, and it works SO NICELY. No assembly required, packed well in its own box, turns smoothly and steadily with the counterweight to balance the tension on the skein. Love it!

I bought this because a friend has one and I really liked hers. So, now I have one and this is such a nice ball winder. It’s so easy to use and the operation is so smooth. I do recommend others to purchase this. I’ve looked at many and was Leary of the plastic ones, I like the sturdiness and smooth operation of this winder.

I’ve been using a little el cheapo plastic ball winder for a few years. It was great while it lasted, but something is breaking down, and it started making a loud clicking noise while I am winding yarn. I began some research into upgrading to a wooden winder. I looked at a bunch of them. I chose this one because of the brand, the price, and because the reviews were all 5 star. It arrived within a week, and I immediately took it out and set it in its new home, next to my swift. It was super easy to set up and to use. And, WOW, is it nice!!! It is quiet, sturdy, very well built and engineered, and so much easier to use than my little plastic one. And, it is a great value for the money. I kind of wish I would have gotten this (A lot) sooner. It makes winding yarn cakes a dream. It is super easy to use, and so much easier on my post carpal tunnel hands than my old one. And, just so it is clear, I have not received any freebies from the company, I don’t work for them, or have stock in their company. I am just a very happy and satisfied customer. Now if it only had a motor. :D

I really like this yarn winder. I didn’t like the cheap-looking plastic ones, so I purchased this one instead. It was a bit more expensive, but since it’s wood, it should have a greater longevity than the plastic. It works great! I have wound tiny cakes all the way up to extra-large ones. It holds them all! It’s very easy to use. I have to remind myself to remove the belt each time when I’m done, though, so it won’t get stretched out. It couldn’t be easier to set up and use. Just clamp to your work surface/table edge , put on the belt, and start winding!
