Decades of reliable performance for a reasonable price. No brand shopping just pick what compound you need.

Night and day difference with stock Shimano pads. Did the front brakes and many stoppies ensued, noticably reduced stopping distance, well worth the time and money for fun and safety.

Fit fine with good quality, but the material is very hard. I cannot lock up the tires no matter how hard I try.

The brakes shoes stop really well. I replaced the brake shoes on my old GT mountain bike from the 90’s and they work well.

Old pads we're VERY noisy. About 15-20 min. to intall/adjust new pads. They're AMAZING! Stop quiet and on a dime. Very happy. Thank you.

these are good for dry conditions with (black) painted rims and can be tuned/towed easily to prevent any squeeling. They work quietly and normal except for when they get wet. Most riding in the rain isn't a problem, it's when I ride through puddles, and then mud, and once the rims are wet the stopping power is reduced by 50% (with my 2 finger levers). They'd probably be find with the full length lever but then you have a higher % of cable snapping from the extra tension.I found them at a great price, and for all intents and purposes, I recommend them for good modulation on dry-flat land without chirping and lots of padding..

I have been riding with these on my mountain bike for over a month. So far I love them. My old Shimano pads had become noisy, and were grinding down the rims. These Kool Stop pads are almost silent. They do a much better job of stopping the bike than the old pads. They work well in the rain, they are easy to modulate, and they aren't "grabby."One note of caution: Thoroughly clean your rims before putting these pads on, to remove all the material deposited by your old pads. Otherwise, your wet stopping ability will be decreased.
