Only been roughly 4 years and i need shocks again. I used KYB in other cars with good results, but seems that quality has gone down.

The item(s) arrived on time. Packaging was good and intact. I ordered these shocks as existing ones in my vehicle were noisy in cold weather (Known issue with this vehicle). From reviews online, these appeared to be only brand found that alleviates this problem. I installed and Cold weather is here! Am impressed with the ride and lack of noise so far.

I've used kyb shocks for years on many vehicles and they have always been great. I got these for my 14 sonic ltz hatchback. These shocks have transformed the ride to a very stiff, jittery, shaky mess. Going over dips or bumps sends jolts thru the cabin. Worst ride I have ever experienced in any vehicle. They do not absorb anything, they send everything straight thru the cabin. I can't believe kyb would put out such a terrible shock absorber. The original Ac Delco shocks lasted 135k and still gave a comfortable ride when they were worn out. I'm ordering a set of the original ones cuz these kyb ones are awful. I can't recommend these to anyone unless you want ur car riding like a low rider with chopped springs.

I replaced the rear shocks on my 2014 chevy sonic ltz with these kyb'shock. The car had 54000 miles and I noticed two things happening with handling before the replacement. The car would dive on moderate and hard braking. In heavy traffic the seesaw affect was obnoxious and during a hard brake the back end would lighten up and feel unsafe. The second issue was high speed damping and rebound. A pothole or even the concrete freeway section gaps would hit hard and made the ride less comfortable. These kyb shocks solved those problems beautifully. During braking the car remains level. At 90 MPH the suspension is keeping tires in contact with the road. Thr only negative is that the freeway section gaps create a springy bounce that is almost rhythmic. I can't say for certain that it isn't a shock to spring imbalance but it didn't exist before adding these kybs. Overall, I'm peased with the purchase and would buy them again.

I didn't purchase my KYB shocks from Amazon, never the less I had to put this opinion out there! I have a Chevy Sonic sedan. My wife has Cancerso we've been driving back and forth to Erie,Pa. on a regular basis.Everyone in the family has complained about the rough roads/terrible riding car! The car has 50K miles. My son checked the shocks and theOEM Delco shocks were leaking oil. Not a good sign. I ordered the shocks from Rock Auto. My son changed them out-WOW what a difference! All I can say is KYB is the Best!! I could have paid more money for AC Delco, but I wouldn't have gotten a better ride. KYB shocks are nitrogenfilled (inert gas) I've used KYB on many cars with excellent results. I live on a dirt road and drive on Pa. secondary roads. KYB shocks will last along time and give a great ride.
