I found it helpful to separate the pieces for the 2 supports and build one to see how the pieces fit together before trying this outside. It is a bit daunting to get the cardboard box with no instructions. It looks like it came from your favorite uncle’s garage! One ziplock with hardware and the bubble wrapped parts. That’s it.I posted photos showing the parts needed to build one support and the pole holder all built. It was pretty easy to build looking at the pictures on Amazon. Then I discovered that there actually is an instruction diagram! Just check the photos on the site. It’s a solid piece. It does need an upright mounting post and you’ll need to mount 2 so plan for that before ordering. But, if you have the spot, these will give you a stout support system.

I ordered this umbrella mount for our deck, as we previously had a half-circle-shaped sand-filled base that would fall over with the wind. This umbrella mount has held solid through wind and rain so far.Included with the kit is a top and bottom tubular mounting piece, a backplate for each, threaded rods, nuts to secure the rods, threaded knobs for securing the umbrella pole into the mounts, and two extra screws, which I can only assume are for securing the umbrella to the bottom mounting piece, if your umbrella has a screw hole in the bottom (ours does not).Installation for this mount is pretty straightforward, though the instructions were a bit lacking. There are two different tubular mount pieces, one that goes on the bottom, which has a cross bar welded across it, in which the umbrella will sit down onto this bar. If your umbrella has a threaded hole in the bottom where you would otherwise mount a base, then you can use one of the included screws to screw it into the bottom mount piece. You will want to install the bottom mount piece first, attaching the backplate with the included threaded rods and nuts, and then mounting the top piece in the same way, but further up your spindles to hold the umbrella toward the center. These top and bottom pieces will use the backplates to clamp in place, spanning two or more of your spindles, and being held tightly in place by the threaded rods. Once the mounts are in place, you just need to insert your umbrella and tighten the knobs to hold the pole firmly in place. This kit seems really durable, and is made of heavy duty metal, so it's not going to easily bend or come loose.Overall, we really like this mounting kit.

This umbrella stand was fairly easy to assemble, and has held our umbrella steady through some very heavy winds we have been having lately. I could not figure out how to get it to hold steady, though, unless I placed it on the top of each horizontal railing bar. The photos show the item assembled along the vertical bars, but that didn't work for me - the item kept sliding down. The way we have assembled it has worked great, however, and it has helped bring shade without having the bulky umbrella base we are used to. I like that it is moveable as well, rather than the ones you have to permanently install with screws, since this area of our deck needs shade in different areas throughout the day as the sun moves.

Great quality materials and build. Fairly easy installation. Once installed, inserting my 9’ umbrella was a cinch. Since installed with umbrella in place, we’ve had a few storms, and it held up just fine. This is well worth the buy, and you get a great value. Great buy.

It holds my outdoor umbrella without any issues. I don’t have a table with a hole and the base was clearly not strong enough. These brackets can hold my umbrella in strong winds
