The good is that cup itself is nice and sturdy, and a good size. I really liked that part. As for the rest its pretty cheap quality. I'm having problems with them leaking. You either get them too tight or not tight enough. I have them on a 5 gallon bucket which is raised off of the ground about a foot and the cup still gets dirt and debris inside. I could deal with that if I could only fix the leaking once and for all.

The little cups work really well in the TX heat. We put it a little high so we don’t get too much dirt and sand in it. I would recommend about 3”to 4” above the bottom of the bucket bottom if you want it to sit directly on the ground. The chickens use it and clean their beaks with it too.

I have bought several different styles and types of these for my ducks and others for chickens. Theses are the best out of all of them. They don't leak. All sizes of ducks can drink from them and they refill nicely. However I do wish the little spring was covered or something because ducks are messy and they get clogged and you have to hose the springs out to make it be able to function properly. Still the best I have tried and they have held up great for way over a year now. I don't use them in the winter. It gets pretty cold here so they will freeze up. But the summer months it's nice to have in the barn.

The idea is great but this product has cheap hardware the wing nut is made of thin cheap plastic so you can’t tighten enough to keep the cups straight. When chickens drink they peck on cups and cups twist to the side and leak out the whole bucket of water

This system is cheap crap! The cups themselves are fine, but the threaded spout out the back of the cups that goes into the bucket is plastic, as is the nuts that screw onto them are worthless. You can’t even tighten the nuts down to make them fit tightly as the nut pops right off when you attempt to tighten them down. This therefore leaves the cups so they can easily be rotated side to side as the birds drink water out of it. Once the cups are turned to one side or the other from the force of the birds drinking out of it, then pours every bit of water out of the bucket, and onto the ground, leaving your birds without water. Within minutes of the cups being turned, all water is lost. You’re better off with just using a 3 gallon bucket without a lid as that’s less hassle and you’ll at least know your birds have water available.Oh, and did I mention, they didn’t even send me all the silicone gaskets to go with the cups? SMFH.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CHEAPLY MADE CHINESE TRASH.
