Just arrived today. As soon as I opened the box, I saw the defect.Is it enough for me to return it? Not really, I guess it could’ve happen to me at some point. But receiving it with a flaw is surely not fun.Further more, for some reason I thought that all LP’s products are made in USA, this one was made it Taiwan.Last thing - it has a very “metallic” sound, and when it hits the black plastic enclosures… well, it sounds plastic.

When the shaker's end doesn't fly off during use it's fine. There was no adhesive securing the end caps to the cylinder. On its first use the end cap flew off an what a mess. If you buy this make sure you check the end caps or better yet remove them and add some glue.

Good size, nice sound. Flaws would be it doesnt look very sturdy (more like a cola can) and that it can roll to the floor while you are not playing it, as its completely rounded. Bit most of the shakers are like that

Really fun at the "full moon" beach Bon Fire. The all percussion group of folks, waves pounding the beach, it just doesn't get better.

I recently brought this, as my shaker egg just wasn't getting the job done on some tracks I was recording. Great shaker right here. Good quality, feels solid...like I could drop it and nothing bad would happen. Good, rich shaker sound that cuts through the mix just like it should! I would definitely buy instruments from Latin Percussion again! Try it out if you're in need of a great shaker at an affordable price.
