The part works perfect. It’s great to have a way to purchase hard to find parts without the need to buy entire packages that contain other parts.

I’m confused what this is for as this is far smaller than the standard ball that comes with any bathroom vanity drain I see from all hardware stores. Such a disappointing purchase. Don’t bother buying.

I needed to replace the pop-up rod/ball unit under my bathroom sink. At first I was going to buy to whole unit, but found this fix kit and try them out. The plastic wing nut was too small, but kept my older wing nut and it worked with this. That's the reason for the 4 stars on ease of use/install. Price was good. So far so good, no leaks.

These did not fit my Moen sink but the easy workaround was to use the (wing nut) that came off the sink and couple that with the rest of the hardware from the kit.

TL;DR - will work for Moen sink but only if you can reuse your original wingnut (included wingnut is smaller and will not fit). Still the best value around - you get 3 for the price of 2 plus extra thread tapeWill it fit? Two things to check on your sink:a) Wingnut diameter on drainpipeb) Plastic "ball" diameter on the ballrodWingnut: So I apparently have a Moen faucet I determined from other posters who have the same wingnut as I do which has the embossed numbers "14606." This will only fit a certain diameter housing on the drainpipe. I did not measure it but when I tried to thread the new one that came with this it was too small. So I had to reuse my old Moen wingnut.Ballrod: The ballrod fit just fine, however I had to reuse the old Moen 14606 wingnut from my sink and did not use any extra washers that the kit came with.Ball: As you can see in my pictures, I used a Vernier Caliper to measure the diameter of the balls on the old and new and they are the same, 5/8" or ~16mm. It fit just fine and I have no leaks as expected.Sinkside rod: The new rod extending past the ball into the sink side is exactly the same length as the original - even though there was no way to tell from my sink which was completely rusted and disintegrated, I did pull one out of another identical sink and checked they were the same. In any case, after I installed it works fine.Pullside rod: The new rod is just a tad longer than the original outside of the sink as you can see in my picture but that makes no difference as it just extends on the pull side not inside the sink.Procedure I followed:1) Take out the drain stopper - it probably was sitting flush with the sink anyway b/c the rod is broken or deteriorated inside the sink. Clean it nicely2) Unscrew the wingnut on the drainpipe under your sink.3) Remove the ballrod by squeezing the clip on the pullrod and remove the ballrod. Take the time to remove any remains of the disintegrated old ballrod remaining in the drainpipe where the wingnut came out. I found rusty bits I had to remove. Wipe the threads down too so there is no gunk or rusty bits that will compromise your pipe later.4) Put in your new ballrod and thread it through the stopper "eye."5) Depending on your original setup, either use or don't use the old or new wingnut and screw it onto the drainpipe. Optionally you can use the thread tape but there was none before and I didn't need to here.6) Check that the pullrod is able to control the ascent and descent of the drain stopper.7) If all is good, then clip the ballrod to the pullrod and you are done. Conclusion: I honestly just needed the ballrod and nothing else but nobody seems to be selling just that so I have a bunch of extra parts with this that I don't need which I presume is adding to the cost in my case. I wish the wingnut was bigger and the thread tape was unnecessary because I did not use either of those as well as the extra washers they provided. If I could get a kit with just the ballrods alone I would have.

Make sure to measure the ball diameter!Shaft length is within original specs, and a good replacement fitting

This did the job perfectly for 1/3 the price of the local store but the threaded collar part was too small, this is ok because I just reused the same one because all the rest is identical

These fixed our sink perfectly. They went in easily. The fit was perfect. They haven’t been in long enough to tell if they will have better rust resistance than the last ones, but they seem to be a really high-quality. There are no leaks and they threaded in perfectly. I was blown away by how many different thread size options. There were so make sure you measure before you buy.
