This drum does have a horrible echo and the stuffing it with towels trick didn't help much. The finger tapping things don't work and one broke. The outer "belt" does not stay at all and it useless. It does play okay using only the mallets. I wish I would have bought a different one. This one just does not sound as good as other mass produced drums I listened to.

I adore this drum. It's so nice looking. Plus it sounds great when I hit it with my included mallets. It was easy to learn an easy song from their provided book immediately. So it great for beginners.Even my dad commented on the melodious tones this Lexington 13 notes 12 1 steel tongue drum emits. Almost like church bells at times 🔔. Great sound quality.Came with cool stuff including a woven strap with a nice design in a twinelike substance. Since that makes me sneeze I gave it to my mom, who loves wearing it like a scarf.Happy music 🎵🎶 making, all!

Purchased this for a teenager. He is really enjoying it. It was easy to learn to play and has a good sound. It arrived quickly and has a nice carrying case. Very pleased with this purchase!

Out of all of my tongue drums I think this is the prettiest. I love the way it looks and sounds. This is one of the best I've seen in years. Get a nice looking one like this if you can man. Very nice sounds & it's a beautiful piece of art just to look at. I'm a lifetime musician, and this is a very nice addition to my home recording studio. very unique sounds. You have to learn exactly where to strike it to get expected continuity of sounds, but it's not that hard to get used to.Interestingly, my favorite place to play it is right on the stickers... & they fall off fairly easily. That would be my only complaint. would be better if the numbers were actually engraved. Once I got used to where each tone is at, I didn't focus on the stickers anyway, so it's no big deal for me.
