  • The White and Black colored caps include a 3-ply compressible foam liner. All other colored caps are unlined. Caps are BPA free. Made in the USA. Cap is not designed to be leakproof.
  • This 4.5" outer diameter replacement cap is compatible with 1-Gallon and 1/2-Gallon plastic & glass storage jars that have continuous thread (CT) lids. A continuous thread container is where both the jar and lid cap are threaded in one continuous bead around the opening (where there is no break in the threads). **Note: a continuous thread cap closes on the jar with a full turn of the cap.**
  • This lid is commonly used on food storage containers that hold dry goods (such as sugar, flour, nuts, spices, cookies, candy, coffee grounds, etc), and liquids (such as iced tea, fermenting, pickled eggs, pickles, beer, kombucha, peanut butter, honey, etc.). The cap can also be used on containers that hold personal or storage items (such as q-tips, loose coins, screws, bolts, crafts, etc).
  • The lid is NOT COMPATIBLE with jars that close with only a quarter turn of the cap (the ones where the jar threads are broken and not continuous). NOT COMPATIBLE with Ball, Kerr, and Atlas jars.
