I had about six other light sabers and all of them broke someway. These light savers are a lot heavier, and the plastic around the sword is a lot thicker. The handle is also heavier and a better quality. It is an average size and the battery as long as lasting. My kids love the colors as they’re bright, but this pastel white and blue. They also have different modes on it and different buttons to change those modes. These are a lot cheaper than the expensive light savers I bought that or nowhere near good quality.

[Edit: they sent me another set, which was much better. I returned the first set. These are perfect for younger kids who don’t swing too hard. Changing from 2 to 4 stars.]The light looks fine, if that's all that matters to you, but the audio quality was very poor. One of the two sabers sounded okay, but the other barely put out any sound at all, and the sound it did emit was more like a 30-year old dying modem trying to connect to the internet. The sabers feel rather weak as well. It could be good for my 4 year old, but anyone older might break it on accident. Maybe I got a dud on the sound thing. I'm going to give them one more change and get a replacement. If that doesn't work... Well... I'll just feel bad, I guess. :)

These are really well made, and I love that it comes with two of them. The battery lasts a very long time (ours hasn't died yet!) and despite our last one breaking on the first day, this one has held up to many battles with kids and adults alike!

These light sabers are really nice with a vibrate function as you swing them. They also have a built in speaker that makes noises. The only downside is that one of the sabers vibrate function doesn't work right and just rattles. Otherwise a really cool toy for star wars fans.

This was the coolest toy that my nephew got this Christmas!My nephew is a nut for that "saga of films" and everything that goes with it. When he opened the box, he was overwhelmed with excitement. It was colorful- the neon pink and blue popped off of the black background of the box. He was so inrigued. He thought it was an 80's surprise... and out came 2, yes 2 lightsaber elements! that can be played with as a double bladed single saber or two small sabers. kind of cool if you have a friend over or if you want one for each hand. LOL. This is a really cool toy.6 NOISE MODES: quiet, battle, strobe, toggle, on, offSaga fans will be over the moon with this and seriously taken aback. It's way cool.

As everyone else says, these have a good weight to them. They’re a little shorter than I was hoping for and if you screw them together, you obscure the speaker. Also, there’s haptic feedback/vibration when the sounds play, especially on light on and off, which, due to an oversight in assembly, makes the controller rattle around like it’s popping popcorn.
But the real issue I have with these toys is that--especially when certain colors are used--they look a bit on the...obscene side. I think it’s because the rounded tip is a separate piece from the rest of the lightsaber and the light traveling through the join makes it look…that way. I couldn’t get a good picture of it in pink, but you get a sense of it anyway.One final note: 2 days after receiving these (with minimal play), one of them no longer makes the humming or on/off sounds. It's the one that was rattling, so I assume the movement did something to the internals. It still makes the clashing sound, but that's it. One star removed for a total of 2.

I’m admittedly a (big) Star Wars nerd. Love the movies, action figures, accessories, and the entire franchise. I’ve previously purchased some brand-name sabers in the past for my kids, who are equally excited about anything Star Wars. Unfortunately the plastic-handle sabers only last a while before they’re inevitably broken. These, on the other hand, have rugged aluminum handles and a ridiculously thick plastic saber upper body! The sounds, while not too loud, are very authentic. There are actually (2) unique sound modes that can be activated by holding the power button down (once powered-on). In both modes, “hitting” the saber lightly against another object triggers a clashing saber sound FX, along with a strobing lighting effect. The entire experience of using them is just *awesome* by both adult & kid standards! There is a middle connector piece included to create a dual-sided light saber, but I (and my kids) enjoy keeping them separate. The color variety on this is freaking amazing, and the power-on/power-on lighting/sound effects are just spot-on! Yes, these are expensive, but the value and quality is present! They're also USB (thankfully via USB-C port) rechargeable, so you'll definitely be saving on disposable batteries. Absolute 5/5 product!
