The welder is great no question this my secound one had to sell the first due to military moves. The only bad thing is Northern Tool & Equipment who gave me a delivery date. That date came and went and Northern Tool & Equipment was able to send Emails saying I would be responsible for return frieght and restocking fees. The Welder arrived eight days due no falt of mine and the Emails were not appreciated.

The Lincoln welder is my favorite welder however I ordered one on Amazon. The first one came and was badly damaged so I returned it for another. Well the second one came and it was damaged worse than the first one and I still have not set it up to use. The cabinet is damaged to the point it does not sit straight. I spend thousands of dollars on Amazon each year and am rethinking this. I am so disappointed

Excellent!! I bought this to do some welding on tractor parts. It has performed perfectly for what I need. Great size (it's pretty heavy so I put it on a hand cart so I could move it around the garage easily), and all around great product. Shipping was INSANELY fast. It had a projected delivery date of Oct 19-24, it got here on Oct 18th!!! I will definitely be buying more products from this company in the future. This is an excellent welder for someone just coming into welding.

The K1170 was an upgrade from a 120v welder.Keep in mind the welding helmet does not come with the welder, I bought an automatic darkening helmet from Amazon and it really makes striking the arc a snap. I also bought the wheel kit for this machine, to make it more mobile.As for performance it is a strong and will burn through 16 or 18 gauge steel if you are not careful. Also be sure you choose the proper electrodes, don't get them too small or use too many amps or they will turn black (too much heat).The vendor was great and the welder arrived when they said it would.
