If you have RSI (repetitive stress injury) you have three angles to choose from. It has a side button that changes the pointer resolution to super fine (as in it moves really slow and fine control), so if you need that for photo or other careful work, that's great. It also has usb and Bluetooth connections that you can alternate between, like a desktop and phone at the same time.I bought and returned one from Staples that the ball moved really rough. I popped out the ball and that one was missing one of the three white balls the trackball rides on missing. This one was just fine.I also saw some good advice online. Don't grab the mouse with your fingertips over the buttons. Lay your hand down over the buttons and just push down with your fingers, not the fingertips. Takes a little bit to get used to but it's really comfortable that way.I've used these types of Logitech trackball mice for years and they are great. This is NOT ambidextrous! Right hand only. I would love to have a lefty at the same time, but they don't make one.

I wore my previous one out over several years. Liked it so much I replaced it...the USB extender is a nice plus.

It works great but about a year in one of the buttons starts messing up, I have purchased about 6 of these so far over the years.
