Five stars, is due to the price! I was surprised at how well these speakers sound, for the price! I bought some cheap speakers with the same size drivers, that don't sound nearly as good! I have these sitting beside my Roku, in my bedroom, with a little amp pushing them, and MAN, I don't even need a subwoofer! I watched a movie, and the sound was HUGE! I'm big on sound, but I don't consider myself an audiophile. They will critique the heck out of a speaker, but for the average sound person, these are a good deal! The bass is what got me... Even lower bass! The tweeter sounds good also. Warm, but not harsh.

Great build quality. Compact, nicely finished for the low price. The sound is good with clean, treble and bass. The rear ported design requires placement some distance from the rear wall to avoid muddled bass. You must experiment with this distance to suit your preference. These will work with low powered amplifiers of about 40 watts per channel. Not bad as a desktop, surround or small bedroom speaker system. These are not make to be played very LOUD! If you listen at moderate levels, you will get good sound. If you crank these up, the sound will be muddy. If you want more Bass, buy a cheap subwoofer, bigger speakers, or both. Overall, these are worth the price I paid.

Even though the size is small for these speakers, I find that the sound is exceptional! And a small size fits well within my apartment. All in all, a great addition to my growing home stereo system.

Given the price and the fact that there is no cross over, it sounds pretty good to use as a computer monitor with a small class d amp.

The speakers, which I use with a Sony tuner, are economical but not very present. The lows (57)hare weak, and the mids are muddy. They are worth the price.
